More amazingly was how "black people" caused his position to become expendable when Wells Fargo bought Crocker Bank in 1986. From the Wiki:
Crocker National Bank was purchased by the British financial institution Midland Bank in 1981, but after a series of financial losses, it was sold to Wells Fargo Bank in 1986. Crocker's executive vice president and two-thirds of the top 70 executives lost their jobs because of the merger.

I had one book and I gave that up to a charity thrift store years ago before I even was aware he was a bat shit crazy. I do remember reading the comics in the newspaper when I was younger and enjoying it ok. And even getting a laugh or two from the show. Glad I was never that into it.


Thank god for Calvin and Hobbes which is just infinitely better anyway (fun fact I learned recently, the Complete Calvin and Hobbes was both the most expensive and heaviest book to appear on the NYT best seller list)

I liked the Dilbert cartoon for a few years. Got some for X-Mas. Don't remember buying them. But they're gone now as soon as I get home. This is fucking BS.

If it helps I prefer Bloom County and Calvin and Hobbes to all else.

I liked it late 90s early 00s. Bought a couple books, gave the TV series a try. But even well before all of this stuff with Scott Adams I stopped paying attention. It's not because it got bad or anything, not to say it didn't, but I mean how long can you pay attention to a comic strip? Maybe if it was Far Side or C&H, but beyond that you really have to find yourself with a newspaper happening to be in front of you every day; hunting it down is more work than payoff. So if he thinks he's going to get people running to read it online, he's about 20 years too late for that.

The self-loathing is real.

It's why they're so anti-gay. They looked at a dude once and thought, I'd really like to bang him. And they've been trying to purge those thoughts ever since. The temptation is just too great, so just eliminate the temptation.

Kinda like Mike Pence and Mother, and the whole stay away from being alone in a room with another woman. Or, the whole of the Bible thumpers, where the only thing preventing them from being immoral murdering rapists and fornicators is the fear of burning in hell.

Florida is going to make it so Liberal Researchers flee their schools (and the money they bring) and the only minorities at their schools will be playing sports...and that won't last long.

Good luck running a major university with no research money, no professors and half the students you had before. UF, FSU, Miami and the rest will be Trump University in no time!

BTW according to the GOP now suggesting businesses give child care and be Union Shops is "Woke". They have anyway killed their golden house just like they did with CRT.

The GOP has reached a point to where they are completely unaware that they are basically burning down the world that we live in. The MAGAs I interact with legitimately believe that a majority of the population thinks/believes the same as them.

Just let them keep ticking everyone off. As long as '24 is a fair election, their asses are toast in many places that aren't bright red.
 
"woke" is the new "moonbat". A term that started with a tiny bit of meaning but was overused to the point of absurdity.
