I don't know about NY but for CA a lot of those emigrees are cons who are moving to AZ and TX, similar to Rust Belt Olds moving to FL and AZ. It's not great, electorally.

The cons in Cali are not moving to Texas, as Jim says they are moving to Idaho. But I read an article not long ago that many of the Dems from Northern Cali (San Fran area) are also moving there.

Flo(R)ida aint changing any time soon so if they want to move there let them. Everywhere else you are starting to see some shifts in the electoral voting...maybe not statewide but definitely in various counties.

Don't tell that to the people who already live in Idaho or Montana. They are convinced everyone coming from CA is a super liberal commie socialist who wants to turn everyone trans and teach CRT to toddlers. Speaking from experience here.

They should be so lucky ;^)

When I lived in the Bay Area 40 years ago, people were moving to Humbolt Cty, Oregon and Montana. Wash to a lesser extent. Looking for places like the coastal NoCal mountains used to be.

The cruelest trick ever pulled on an entire generation was making us think we could be whatever we wanted and also save the world, and then throw every roadblock in our way.

It's Scott Adams. He's been a RWNJ for probably 20 years and was crying cancel culture a decade ago.

He's shouting the quiet part out loud, now. He was always a very public POS but he couched it in that passive aggressive way some of them have. Now he's just a firehose of hatred.

It's too bad he's already made his millions so when his "livelihood" goes bye-bye he'll still be able to pay the bills. I can't think of a more deserving person to have to beg on a street corner for something to eat.

I took a walk through the HAZMAT that is the rest of that account, which I guess is standard for a conservative aggregating account.

It's not so much that the tweets from conservative thoughtleaders are cringe or racist. It's that they are adolescent. These folks and presumably their audience are forever trapped in a pre-mature state. It's like listening to high school jocks trying to be funny. Or profound. The whole thing reads like the Onion's cartoonist.

Remember this is the guy who says UPN canceled the Dilbert cartoon because he is White and not because it was the lowest rated show on tv...and they told him they did it!

I was curious about his dig at Pacific Bell, came across an old newsgroup article:

https://groups.google.com/g/rec.arts.comics.strips/c/pf1x99CHfVg

San Jose Mercury News, August 9:
CREATOR OF SATIRICAL 'DILBERT' DISCONNECTED BY PAC BELL
Irreverent comic strip chronicles misadventures in workplace

BERKELEY (AP) Scott Adams, creator of the irreverent workplace comic strip "Dilbert," has lost his day job.

Adams said Tuesday he and Pacific Bell parted company June 30.

"They asked me to leave, and I did," he said simply.

Pacific Bell officials did not return a call seeking comment.

The cartoonist said he was told that he was being let go because of budget constraints. He does not know whether his strip satirizing management idiosyncrasies--and idiocies--played a role.

"I can't read minds, so your guess is as good as mine--why would I doubt them?" he said in a phone interview from his home in Dublin.

Still, he said his role as management gadfly can't be discounted as a factor.

...

So..... black people was why he was laid off in a corporate restructuring during the start of the long distance craze?

Amazing.
