As if the city of Lansing hasn't had enough garbage this week, the Michigan GOP is having their state convention today at the Lansing Center. First order of business is to make sure that all ballots are hand counted because counting machines can't be trusted. Then, not to be out done a motion was raised to have the voter stand up and announce their vote before the convention.

Then someone is removed from the convention because another member felt threatened by their presence. Facebook drama ensues.

Karamo wins MIGOP chair on the third ballot. LMAO, they really do want to keep losing elections here.

FWIW, she's the black GOPer who lost her 2022 bid for MI Secretary of State by 14 points after claiming Democrats are the Church of Satan and that demonic possession is a real thing. Oh and it goes without saying that she's an election denier who refused to concede her loss and still insists the vote was rigged.

Deperno was only slightly less insane but was Trump's preferred choice, so that's just the icing on the cake.

Not going to lie, I am surprised they were even able to elect a chairperson. Picking the 14 point loser is a choice. Safe to say the statewide Michigan GOP is in shambles. Guess they're satisfied being able to terrorize the county governments for the next two years.

Yes it was for real...and she is not the only one who has said it that exact way the last couple years. They dont like that the Blue States don't seem to care.

Technically she should be forced out because that violates the Constitution but no one is going to do that because the fallout could get super ugly.
 
It's like they don't realize how much the red states suckle from the government teat.

Or, she's like Texas, where she wants to be left alone to do her thing, but still expects the government to bail them out when things go to shit.
