I wonder which American city is most reasonable when it comes to drinking. There are binge cities and uptight cities. Is there anywhere people just... drink in moderation?

I think this might just be a list of cities with the most self-reporting alcoholics. i.e., the most f*cked-up cities: with both binge drinkers AND emeritus drinkers.

Case in point: #18.

I think most (non-Tulane) binge drinkers in Nola are upper midwest tourists fleeing their puritan ghosts, Hurricane in hand.

As someone who goes there a lot I back this up. Outside of Bourbon Street most people are quite reserved. And Bourbon is all tourists...

Even at a festival like Jazzfest the amount of drunks is low.
