Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

I feel like this WC has been penalties galore, but that one had to be called. Socceroos now up 2-1 in the 55th.

Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

i don't think that was a terrible call because his arm wasn't in that position the whole time. he moved it there right before

can't believe this

Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

if ronaldo is out and we can't get a point...don't deserve to advance

Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

Are the Dutch trying to impersonate the L.A. Kings by falling behind and rallying?

Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

So far the team that has scored first is only 9-1-6 (.583)
In 2010 there were only 3 come back wins in the entire tournament.

I guess the LA Kings have taken up soccer...

Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

When did soccer move to using the W-D-L rather than the usual W-L-D? It makes sense but I'm still not used to it.

Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

One has to wonder if that goal will be the end of Spain...

Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

oh that's really what i meant, the build up plus the finish

Re: The FIFA World Cup Thread (Spoilers Welcome)

not just a phenomal goal, but that buildup on the right was spectacular.

What was that thing Chile was doing where a player on their team would kick the ball so it went to another player on their team, and they could then continue with the ball towards the goal?
