The Dead thread - God sorts 'em out!

Re: The Dead thread - God sorts 'em out!

Could be. All I know is that the two northernmost cities that have hosted the World Series have been Bloomington, MN and Minneapolis. If the twins somehow make it, it would be the northernmost World Series outdoors since Metropolitan Stadium in 1965. They also finished the second week in October.

Seattle would be further north if they ever made it.

How about a Twins - Florida series, one game called for snow, the other called for hurricane.

Though it will be hard to top the earthquake series of 1989 for postponed due to act of nature.

Seattle doesn't generally stand a chance of suffering even a snowstorm let alone a blizzard the way Minneapolis does in late October and into November, so Seattle's really a moot point in the discussion.

Earthquake / tidal wave? Mt. Hood letting go?

And the ultimate disaster - Starbucks declares bankruptcy.

RIP Old Pio, passed away last May, I just found out this evening.

Re: The Dead thread - God sorts 'em out!

Holy sh*.

RIP, OP.

BTW, you're wrong. I don't care what you say back, but you're wrong, you old curmudgeon. ;)

Hey, might as well make you grin in heaven. :)

He has put us all on Ignore, permanently.

Rest in peace, sir.

Couldn't stand the crabby bastard. But that sucks. Going to miss his presence here. RIP, you unbelievable *****. ;)

Re: The Dead thread - God sorts 'em out!

He was a pain in the ***, but I still would have liked to have had a beer with him. :(

RIP OP

Re: The Dead thread - God sorts 'em out!

Hardly ever agreed with OP, but he will be missed. He had a large fund of knowledge and was actually a skilled writer, if that's what we do here. Pio told some good stories. I would like to have met him. I think he made café a little more fun.

Rest in peace (OK . . . agitated peace) old Pio.

Du78 -- I take it you didn't learn his name.

I had a feeling that the news wasn't good. Knowing he was in radio news in Phoenix I did some checking to try to come up with who he was but no luck. I'll miss my news colleague and fellow conservative.

RIP friend.
