Probably doing the guy a favor. He’d have a pretty big target on his back if he was out free. Highly doubt the family would do anything but could see some “friends in low places” taking things into their own hands.
I remember when Scott Gomez played for the ECHL team here in Anchorage and got his pelvis broken on a cheap shot during a playoff series. The other team had to have police escort because Gomez had gone to school at one of Anchorage’s uh rougher schools and some of the boys were itching for revenge.
