Check your email. Tried to rep an off-board mssg, couldn't do it, so I did email.
So, according to the ny post...
Not to disparag anything you've said, but nothing in the NY Times should be treated as the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth either.Well then, lets be sure to take THIS as gospel!
Reminds me of when Huskyfan posted a link to some nutjob website saying the US signed off on the Lockerbie bomber release, when in fact the exact opposite happened.
Word of advice to all knuckledraggers. In today's 24/7 news cycle, fake stories are easily and quickly debunked, and those pushing them exposed as frauds.

Most secular liberals think that all religions are the same, and they consider any suggestion to the contrary a sign of bigotry. Somehow, this article of faith survives daily disconfirmation.
Religion 101 for atheists. (Romney, though crazy and stupid, was right about the Islamists.)Most secular liberals think that all religions are the same, and they consider any suggestion to the contrary a sign of bigotry. Somehow, this article of faith survives daily disconfirmation.
One of the greatest misunderstandings of atheism is that it's a belief system like an organized religion. The entire point of atheism is it's a residual category. It is not a competing candidate in the religion election, it is "None of the Above."
Generalizations about it are prima facie ridiculous.
Even funnier is the conflation of atheism, secularism, and liberalism. They are all completely different things for which there is some overlap of people. Confusing them (either deliberately for political purposes or simply out of ignorance) is like saying "people who like apple pie tend to like ice cream, therefore apple pie IS ice cream!"![]()
Also, I disagree that by describing "secular liberals", he was necessarily arguing that ALL secularists are liberals or vice versa.
He was probably just referring to the 47%.
not even close. Those ones are the "bible thumpers", or "the unwashed" if you prefer, who didn't get a degree. Any good secularist will tell you religious and stupid are definitely the same word. and they're all bitter clingers.
woooooooooooooooooooooooooooosh

I'm a secularist with two degrees who clings to his guns (a couple times a year, I even go unwashed![]()
). Guess I'm not "good enough"?
"good enough" for what? Now I'm even more confused than usual.
