The 4th Global War on Terror - Deja vu all over again!

Re: The 4th Global War on Terror - Deja vu all over again!

Somebody dove under a bus...

State Department :
The Secretary of State, and by extension, the Chief of Mission (COM), are responsible for developing and implementing security policies and programs that provide for the protection of all U.S. Government personnel (including accompanying dependents) on official duty abroad. This mission is executed through the Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS). Personal and facility protection are the most critical elements of the DS mission abroadas they directly impact upon the Department’s ability to carry out its foreign policy. With terrorist organizations and coalitions operating across international borders, the threat of terrorism against U.S. interests remains great. Therefore, any U.S. mission overseas can be a target even if identified as being in a low-threat environment.

Even Breitbart agrees, but blame ought to go around:

Today, speaking about the despicable and stomach-wrenching attacks by Islamists on our consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and our embassy in Cairo, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asked: “How could this happen in a country we helped liberate, in a city we helped save from destruction?”

That single line is the most ****ing indictment of Hillary Clinton’s State Department that could ever be penned. It demonstrates her complete lack of knowledge about the region, her failure to anticipate security threats, and worst of all, her willful ignorance about the Islamists that she and President Obama trusted to take over Libya and Egypt.

“How could this happen?”

The whole paragraph is:

"The mission that drew Chris and Sean and their colleagues to Libya is both noble and necessary, and we and the people of Libya honor their memory by carrying it forward. This is not easy. Today, many Americans are asking – indeed, I asked myself – how could this happen? How could this happen in a country we helped liberate, in a city we helped save from destruction?”

I thought it was obvious she was speaking rhetorically, like you have to when you're the head of a large group and you have to address everybody on behalf of the organization. To take just the last part of it and make it sound like she's sitting there, going, "Uh, gosh, what went wrong, fellas?!?", is pretty lame. But maybe that's too cynical; maybe the writer just didn't listen to the speech.

Knuckledraggers are desperate. They'll cling to anything.

Hey, they told us they wouldn't let fact checkers run their campaign...

More than one too. Soledad O'Brien roasted that idiot Peter King on his "apology tour" schtick, telling him she had the speech and nowhere did he say apologize or sorry. He responded he didn't care what fact checkers thought.

Poor Mittens. His cynical ploy on Libya didn't work.

Fact checking these days is largely a sham. Most of the fact checking is little more than your typical partisan attacks, disingenuously dressed up in the guise of a true neutral fact check. I used to like fact checking articles, but they've gone way downhill the last couple election go arounds.

Rumor has it, the Libya Gov't gave the US 3 days notice that a premeditated attack was going to happen and the US didn't pull out???

If so, that would be very interesting. Of course a lot of the media would conveniently avoid reporting such things though, given the harm it could do to their candidate.

The dude that tried to blow up the WTC in 1993? Yeah, he's getting released.

Certainly not before the election. Probably never. There was a similar deal where, at the end of negotiations on the "Palestinian" problem, Netanyahu pressured Clinton to release Jonathan Pollard. To his credit, Clinton refused. Pollard should dangle from the end of a rope.

These "spontaneous" demonstrators came armed with heavy weapons and the location of our safe house, which is where Ambassador Stevens was murdered. Does that pass the sniff test?

Re: The 4th Global War on Terror - Deja vu all over again!

Can't find the links right now....two major non-Fox news organizations (CNN? NY Times?) have reported that the Libyan government warned the US several days before 9-11-12 that Islamicists were planning attacks on the US embassy presence, yet no extra precautionary steps were taken.

EDIT: CNN was one of them....http://articles.cnn.com/2012-09-15/...-warning_1_benghazi-consulate-security-detail

First FDR, then Bush, and now Obama knew?

Everyone loves a good conspiracy.

I'd be curious to know exactly how many such warnings of impending death these middle east embassies get in a typical week?

The absence of evidence IS the evidence!
