Look, everybody's outraged by terrorism. The problem is the stakes are too high here. We need to know who's an enemy and who isn't. A blanket "they're all enemies" causes a lot more problems than it solves because you're spending time worried about the majority of people who mean the US no harm and are in fact of the same mind, while those who do wish to attack the US can blend in easier.
As has been said previously, my religion (Christianity) shouldn't be held responsible for the KKK or David Koresh's version if it. Same thing here. I liken it to living in the ghetto or a bad housing project. The majority of the people living in these areas aren't up to no good, but its the ones that are who bring the place down. The trick is to target and take those people (dealers, druggies, et) off the streets instead of putting a barbed wire fence around the whole thing and letting everyone fend for themselves.
