Re: The 2016 NCAA Frozen Four

That has been a problem for the Gophers all year, defensemen making bad turnovers...Played pretty well otherwise. 1-1 after 1 period. As was mentioned nice save on Brandt...

Why are the Gopher forwards trying to steer the puck around the goalie's pads? It would be 3-1 now if they had just fired the puck.

Both choolies have had to be extremely sharp, especially Desbiens, unlike the first game which wasn't nearly as challenging for those two.

Re: The 2016 NCAA Frozen Four

Tough way to end an otherwise good period. Will be an uphill battle now...

Re: The 2016 NCAA Frozen Four

Minnesota has had trouble defending in their own zone all year, and it bites the Gophs again. Nobody covering anyone, just puck watching.

Yes! Two players on Clark, then both leave her. It was pretty obvious Clark was all alone over there.

Do you have to leave soon for the men's game? Wouldn't want to miss warmups.
This was mean. But funny enough we could probably leave now and still make it because UML and PC is in 2OT lol.

If it's still going on after UM/UW ends we'll probably go.

Re: The 2016 NCAA Frozen Four

Years ago one of the local TV stations bought the rights to show the boys high school tournament. They wanted it because it was a big draw that they hoped they could use to advertise themselves. They used their sports guy to call the games and he was a cliche ridden doofus. "this next goal is critical" came out of his mouth at 5 times a game. But the very best time was when he said it at the start of overtime - with no sense of irony.

So, just let me say, this next goal is critical!
