The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

So when does the Gophers 36 game non conference schedule come out?

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Edit: Nevermind I totally missed the "Can't play against US teams" part.

Well you could, but it'd count against your 34. Brown might be able to get away with it because the Ivy League may consider them "scrimmages" to not count against their 29, but that wouldn't apply to the other three.

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Uconn, Holy Cross, Vermont, Providence (2) Lake Superior. Then either Mass-Lowell or Northeastern at the Belfast BeanPot. Evidently they will play Colgate in Belfast and it will count as an ECAC game.

From the Brown thread. Based upon LSSU being fairly full, I'd say they may be first opponents in the Catamount Cup. Awaiting confirmation on that.

I agree that LSSU and Brown will probably play against each other the first day of the Catamount Cup according to the info Brown2k posted. Any idea on the possible 4th Catamount Cup team?

Will LSSU be part of the 4 teams in the Ice Breaker Classic this coming October(9-10?) @ Portland,Maine...being Hosted by the University of Maine Black Bears? Word out has it LSSU/Michigan State/North Dakota and the Host Team Maine.

Yes, LSSU will be in the Ice Breaker Classic.

No announcements here but I do think teams announcing next year's tentative schedules sooner rather than later goes a long way towards generating interest. Especially if it's done around the conf/ncaa tournament. Seems to be trending in that direction as opposed to July when we're all at the beach.

Of course then you open yourself up to irritating fans if changes are made. Best to wait until all is set in stone to release it. The NFL has half as many teams and starts a month earlier and they're still a couple weeks away from announcing their schedule.

How many teams are in the Kendall Hockey Classic? Because I think ASU will be in it as well.

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Yes, a person at UAA confirmed to me that UAA is hosting of course Fairbanks, and St. Cloud State and Arizona State for the Kendall Classic. I understand that Sullivan Arena is getting some upgrades this year, lipstick on a pig.

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

From the SLU thread:

Nov. 6/7 Union/RPI;
13 or 14 Clarkson (H or A) 2nd game TBA;
20/21 at Qpac/Prin;
Dec. 4/5 at Cornell/Colgate;
11/12 UVM (H/A);
Jan. 8/9 Northeastern;

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

So your non con schedule at SLU is:

OCT 9/10 Niagara/RIT
OCT 16/17 UNH/Merrimack
OCT 23/24 @ Miami
OCT 30/31@ PSU
DEC 11/12 UVM H/H
JAN 8/9 @ Northeastern
total of 12. Have I got that right. ? seems like a lot.

ECAC has had 22 league games for the longest time; play each opponent in the league once at home, and once away. Completely fair and balanced. Non-ivies are allowed 34 total games (ivies 29), so what's 34 - 22?
