The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Ugh. This deal was made before the fans and alumni ran the AD who made the deal out of town. Thankfully, we have an AD who is not out of touch now, so maybe he'll schedule some home-and-homes with some other old CCHA teams.

LSSU, BGSU, ND etc.

I'd say NMU, but for whatever reason they don't wanna come to Yost. I mean, I guess I can't blame them given their history when coming down here. Can't shy away in the GLI, though.
NMU would gladly come to Yost in exchange for a series in Marquette. It's Ann Arbor that refuses an even swap of game.

That's not what I heard when the split happened but then again, that was with a different AD who would have sold his mother if it meant more $$$$.

It's the same reason BGSU hasn't been on your schedule. Bergeron has said multiple times BG will only schedule games with teams willing to play in BG. Not doing 2-for-1s or 1-and-dones. If a team has no interest in traveling to BG, BG has no interest in traveling to them.

I suppose that your AD had to approve this, but the article states that it was Billy Powers who did the negotiations. It is a 2-for-1 deal against each of RPI and Union. I wish that RPI would only play teams with whom we get even home-and-home series, but I can't say it too loudly since we often do the same with AHC schools.

Not really anymore, though. The Col. seemed to do a lot of even series, and I wouldn't be surprised if a weekend at Bentley was scheduled before he bolted. Maybe we'll go back to the one-and-dones that Ken Ralph always seemed to get us.

RPI can schedule AIC any time they want!!! Remember, 50% of the OOC teams that AIC have played at home have won it all.

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

There was mention in the Denver thread that the Spartans might be going to Colorado for a weekend with DU. It's been ages since either U of M or State played at DU. I hope that's true.

Have yet to hear anything about BU next year other than the usual conference/beanpot. Someone mentioned @ Yale

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

So as I was looking through the schedules, I saw some mentions of the GLI. That reminds me to ask, I'm assuming SCSU after getting bumped from the GLI, is not on anyone's radar to get invited again anytime soon?

the GLI is going to be mostly an in state tourney, rightly or wrongly from here on. There are many of us who didn't like that and wanted an eastern team since we rarely see eastern teams come west, but financially, an in state team is better, so that's what is happening. I don't see western teams getting an invite in the next 10 years at least.
