The 2012 Presidential Election Part I - The guns of August

Re: The 2012 Presidential Election Part I - The guns of August

A slight difference to this comparison is that there aren't state legislatures full of guys like this forming policy. The House of Reps isn't full of guys like this who are trying to ram through legislation that supports his wild ideas.

Seriously, you're really reaching.

Do tell. So all that sh*t coming out of Mexifornia is my imagination?

Re: The 2012 Presidential Election Part I - The guns of August

Really? What?

Taking over private companies such as GM, PPACA, the second bailout...

Of course no questions could be asked, because Robert the Puppet Gibbs would only take questions that Obummer could make a joke about.

Re: The 2012 Presidential Election Part I - The guns of August

The whack jobs on the right have the loudest bullhorn and are in the news the most. Sheila Jackson is certainly one of the lefties we can do without.

Gee, I wonder why they're in the news the most, and not any of the kinderporners such as Larry Brinkin, or scandalists such as Kerry Gauthier or Vito Lopez. The news REALLY covered those Treasury agents, too...

I see. The first bailout was ok though? I never understood that logic. As for Health Care I'm completely convinced that it will bankrupt us.

None of those sound as dangerous to me as amending the Constitution for personhood and voter ID.

Re: The 2012 Presidential Election Part I - The guns of August

Such as?

And aren't you people all about State's rights?

Yeah. And George Wallace and Orville Faubus are my heroes. Typical bull sh*t libstain smear. Preferring that the layer of government closest to the people be the most active, where practical and possible, is not "state's rights." When Cathy Whitmire was running for mayor of Houston, I voted for her five times, despite the fact that she was far more liberal than me. She was a good mayor. But I would have never voted for her for Congress.

I agree on the former. And balanced budget. And equal rights. And all of the other silly proposals. In principal, I'm against almost any Constitutiional amendment. However, who is suggesting a Constitutional amendment mandating voter ID? There's no need for that. State law can "suppress" illegal votes quite nicely.

The concern is that those are just the first dominos. If they can get those, why would they stop?

When did I ever say the first bailout was OK? You asked for examples of issues under Obama-Pelosi-Reid. If I mentioned the first bailout, you would have *****ed that it was Bush's fault.

Stop assuming negative cases.

Where is this hysterical sh*t about a voter ID amendment coming from? Has any serious person advocated it? Or are you just jerking off in the wind, as usual?

Re: The 2012 Presidential Election Part I - The guns of August

Every post you make is some unrelated hysterical (and often are attempts at appearing to be an intellectual) tangent to what was actually being talked about. Just following suit.

Don't worry though, coz the liberal media probably isn't covering this thread and it seems unlikely that this will get out.

It would be pretty awesome to see the headline: "Republican on College Hockey Message Board Calls President Obama a 'Libtard': Special Olympics Demand Apology"

There's only one of us who poses, constantly, as an intellectual. And it's not you, BTW. However, at least I know "media" is plural, not singular. So the answer to my question about where the nonsense about a voter ID constitutional amendment is coming from, is "I made it up?"

And worrying about that and "personhood" and whatever else "they" can come up with isn't hysterical? Thanks for the clarification.

I would be right there with you, opposing those unneeded amendments. I define "unneeded" as almost any amendment, anyone, anywhere can come up with.

Run that by Wonkette and Kepler.

Thanks for that clarification...

"In practice, in the sense ‘television, radio, the press, and the Internet, collectively,’ media behaves as a collective noun (like staff or clergy, for example), which means that it is now acceptable in standard English for it to take either a singular or a plural verb."

Your English is antiquated much like your pop culture references. :p
