The 2012 New England Patriots

Re: The 2012 New England Patriots

first time since 82, 2 Pats running backs went over 100 yds in the same game

Re: The 2012 New England Patriots

Brady looks lost out there
The chances the Pats D can stop the seahawks is slim and none

Re: The 2012 New England Patriots

Mesko didn't even put any leg into that punt Is belichek high?

Re: The 2012 New England Patriots

Not a very good team right now. Special teams gives up that big return at the end of the game. Offense had the debacle at end of first half, two awful interceptions, can't close out the game. Defense makes some plays, but not when the chips are down. They should still win the division, but Miami isn't looking like a pushover right now. This has the feel of a 10-6 or 9-7 team and early playoff exit.

Re: The 2012 New England Patriots

It all comes down to one simple problem - the secondary, plain and simple. Since they lost in the AFC Championship game to the Colts back in 05 or 06, their secondary has not been able to stop anyone when the game was on the line late. It happened in both Superbowls vs the Giants and in too many other games to even list. How many long bombs did they give up today vs a rookie QB? McCourty and Arrington would be second team guys for any decent college team, let alone an NFL team and the safeties are just as bad. They have the worst technique of any DB's I have ever seen, they constantly get fooled out of their jockstraps and couldn't cover a guy in a wheelchair. A giant step in the right direction would be if they actually turned their heads and watched where the ball was, but that would obviously take some coordination, which they clearly don't have....

AMEN. Its been this way since Ty Law left, even when Samuel had one decent year (but dropped Super Bowl clinching INT something Law never would have done). There's no fear for QB's, even rookies and journeymen, throwing deep into the Pats secondary. They can't get a pick unless its thrown right to them. Otherwise its a long completion or pass interference because they're faceguarding the receiver.

On the second to last Seattle TD, why in the f u ck is the CB not looking for the ball? The WR can't run any further downfield. He's in the endzone. On a corner route with only a few seconds to throw the ball turn your head around and see where it is. A decent corner intercepts that ball as it was an underthrown lob.

This is entirely Belichick's fault. Either he needs to fire secondary coach and get somebody good in there or he needs to get big name established free agent even if it means paying a few bucks. Devin McCourty = Duane Starks. Arrington = D'elthea O'Neil.

Re: The 2012 New England Patriots

Once again Pats secondary is pathetic, they don't even have a clue if the ball is coming toward them or not.
Nice pass interference call. sanchez looks like Johnny Unitas against the Pats

you can rescind this at any time :p

Re: The 2012 New England Patriots

And the secondary obviously blows. Can't see this team winning anything with this secondary.

Re: The 2012 New England Patriots

10 points choked away again and Sanchez was twice the QB Brady was
