Congrats BC, well played BU. Fun gm to watch... that Kreider goal was sick.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

Loved the Saponari hat trick tonight. Misfired on three wide open nets. Then Parker for some inexplicable reason keeps running him out there on the power play instead of doing the right thing and threatening to cut his nuts off is he blows a sure goal one more time.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

Awesome. Go BC! The second period was top-form hockey for BC. Not so much for the first.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

Honestly, the better team won. BC's depth came out and showed tonight with Kreider, Carey, Almeida, and S. Whitney all making big plays or scoring.

BUT... this was very winnable for BU. Two hit posts changed the game completely. And obviously BU was close to tying it up in the last 2 minutes quite a few times. There wasn't much difference here between a BC win and a BU win.

How about that goal by Kreider?

Congrats to BC. Pretty exciting, hard-hitting game. Kreider absolutely undressed Nicastro and Millan... nice one by Warsofsky, too.

Yes BC is better but atleast tonite I felt they were less far apart then I have all year. BU has one sniper upfront, BC many. Warsofsky is really the most skilled offensive player on the team.

So let's go one level deeper. What determines who plays at 8 pm? I assume it is all a rotation to keep things as even as possible?

Harvard has played in the 5:00 games three years in a row... not sure what that means.

Kreider goal was insane, maybe we should call him up for team USA this weekend.

Great first post.

How about number 21 for BC tonight... wait... he was playing for BU, I think.

Seriously? That's messed up then. They would never get a chance to be the home team in a final if they were to win in the first round (chuckle chuckle chuckle).

There were many times I was wondering if our guys knew we were wearing maroon and not white. Too many passes to BU players - including the one that led to BU's first goal

Haha, well they played in the 8:00 vs BC in 2007... so they get it sometimes. TV has to have something to do with it, but I can't figure out whether NU are Harvard would draw less TV viewers.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

Congrats to BC. Like everyone noted, their depth on top of their speed is pretty difficult to handle. Once Wey comes back to solidify the defensive corps, this team is going to be scarier than it already is.

As for BU, proud of the team for fighting back. Thought it was going to be a repeat of Agganis where we scored the first goal and had Millan playing well and then everything just collapsed but thankfully we found a way to stay composed and actually give BC a scare.

Millan is looking good and hopefully the team can bounce back and not lay any eggs against Maine this weekend.

Oh ya. Duh.

Honestly, if that's how they determine home teams for title games, there's no way that is how they do it. If they do, that's just so messed up. It just wouldn't be fair (then again, when is the Beanpot fair?)

Hockey East is rigged, and the Beanpot is rigged so that Hockey East wins!
