Does it count as biting if you agree with a troll?

It's Rover. Who the hell knows what he wants?

Sabres 2
Bruins 4

2 PP Goals

Tell me, did that actually happen?

Sure it happened, you beat an AHL goalie I think.

The Red Wings apparently blew their wad playing San Jose, since they're getting rolled by the Laffs.
It's the jerseys. If the Leafs would use the old logo instead of the clip-art maple leaf, they may win a few more games.

;)

Watched the Avs and Oilers tonight -- Altitude was projecting ads on the glass behind the goals at the Pepsi Center.

This is becoming more and more common. While irritating, we are probably just going to have to get used to it. We still have a few years before the jerseys are covered with ads like the Euro leagues.

MSG does this as well. It's the new wave of the future.

It's getting almost as annoying as when Fox made the puck "glow" or was "highlighted" during games in the late 90's.

I mean, I know you need to sell ads, but do you really need to start digitally put them in the middle of play?

Re: The 2009-10 NHL regular season thread: Slightly less meaningless hockey

I don't want to start another round of "What is the NHL thinking?", but why have any games on the same night as the Hall of Fame inductions? And if you're going to do it, why have a team playing whose president is being inducted?

Really? I don't even really notice it when it's on the broadcast. Comcast SportsNet here is one of the few networks doing it. Actually, I think CSN, Altitude, and MSG might be the only ones right now.

Bruins and Pens scoreless at the end of the 1st. Good period so far, fast pace with few whistles. I thought both teams played very well in their own ends so far.

Re: The 2009-10 NHL regular season thread: Slightly less meaningless hockey

The question "Are the Canadiens wearing Devils throwbacks because they are tired of all of theirs?" went through my mind at first glance.

The answer is no, by the way.

That would have been awesome. Imagine seeing Gionta in a Devils jersey, weird.

Bruins scored but play continued for more than two minutes afterwards. After the review Hunwick got his 4th goal of the year. B's up 1-0.

Re: The 2009-10 NHL regular season thread: Slightly less meaningless hockey

McCreary needs to retire if he can't see that's a goal in real time.

Re: The 2009-10 NHL regular season thread: Slightly less meaningless hockey

The Wild are winning 4-1 with a minute and a half left in the second.

That is how bad the Leafs are.

Of course, there is a whole 20 minutes left for the Wild to screw this up.

Agreed, it seemed like a good goal live. I like the way the Bruins are playing but Pittsburgh is beginning to step up the tempo. Let's see if the Bruins can match it and even get themselves an insurance goal.

They don't appear to be playing too bad tonight. Backstrom made some pretty good saves at some good times and they didn't get discouraged after Toronto put together a good middle of the period.

All that said, it ain't over 'till its over, eh? ;) :D :)

The Pens must really be struggling.

Still, back to back winning efforts by the B's.
