Re: The 112th Congress: Debt ceiling edition

I think you were only referenced because you live in Arizona :)

That would make sense. I guess I've just come to assume that, when in doubt, when I'm mentioned on here it's probably not in a complementary fashion. Too many years on this board.

You need to hit the ignore feature. :p I might not always agree with you but at least you are able to coherently explain why I might want to consider your opinion. Refreshing after some other posters who just insult people who don't think the way they do.

You vote in someone who campaigns on cutting your taxes and the next thing you know:

Ohio Set to Allow Concealed Guns in Bars, Restaurants
FoxNews.com

Ohio is on the verge of allowing people with concealed-carry permits to take their firearms into many facilities that serve alcohol, including bars, restaurants, and sports stadiums. (AP)

The Republican-controlled legislature passed the legislation this week and sent it to Gov. John Kasich's desk. A spokesman for Kasich, a first-term Republican, has said he would sign it.

Would that apply to the Michigan - Ohio State game?

DUMB legislation is not confined to one particular party. After all, if San Francisans have their way, weiners will be safe.

Re: The 112th Congress: Debt ceiling edition

Isn't that what a concealed carry permit does? Allow one to carry a concealed weapon?

They just passed this in Virginia. It's a textbook wedge issue and it worked beautifully for the state GOP: got a lot of people in a lather and raised a ton of money.

Re: The 112th Congress: Debt ceiling edition

Alcohol and guns are a natural mix. Put those together with sports...I can't imagine what could possibly go wrong.

Re: The 112th Congress: Debt ceiling edition

Allowing guns on campus is another one. Wait until the first accidental death at a frat party.

Re: The 112th Congress: Debt ceiling edition

I don't want to live in a world that allows a bunch of stupid frat guys to live to see their 24th birthdays. Bring on the guns!
I thought that and then realized that stray bullets might catch someone who wasn't a stupid frat person.
