Tech at Wisconsin: Prune Juice and Broken Hips

Re: Tech at Wisconsin: Prune Juice and Broken Hips

Yeah, right. ;) Surely you're following the exploits of the 2009-2010 rodents. :D I heard the US Census Bureau was going to re-do the rodentsota census count because of the sudden drop in the state's population.

Or they're just doing everybody since it's 2010 in 27 days.

This needs to go into the archives and posted after every game...

Re: Tech at Wisconsin: Prune Juice and Broken Hips

I don't see the game live on dish network at all...did I miss it? If it isn't live I'll watch the tape delay, but I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing it.

Saturday night it's on DISH 453. Tonight it's on that TVW or whatever it is channel 3.2 over the air. I use an antenna plugged into my DISH DVR to record games on that channel. (Remember if you do this you've got to have a digital TV or one of those digital converters.)

Heading for downtown/campus..Let's Go Red!

Thanks, that is what I thought....unfortunately, I don't pick up Maidson stations (even with my big honkin' antenna) up here.

*yawn*

Russell post-game:

-Two soft goals killed the momentum we got after scoring our 1st goal
-"Josh was not good"
-Bunger & Eli took bad penalties ("it's like a broken record")
-"We just don't have the depth right now, missing guys like Gordic and Royer"
-"Wisconsin's D core was outstanding"
-"Couldn't play our 4th line at all, they were getting eaten up"

-Genoe looked shaky too, but will definitely start tomorrow
-Tough to come in cold, but still had a few decent saves

-Bad PK, etc., etc.
-"Old saying - your best penalty killer has to be your goaltender, their PP goals weren't particularly good ones."

-Dressed 21 players for warmups, then determined VanWagner couldn't play and had to dress Rohn
-Hopefully, VanWagner will go tomorrow

3 Stars:

3rd: Derek Lee (1-1-2 incl. 1st career goal)
2nd: Brendan Smith (0-4-4)
1st: Blake Geoffrion (3-0-3)

"Superior" Player of the Game: John Kivisto (1-0-1, 3 shots, a lot of ice time due to short bench)

...

They've been playing pretty well for us this year. Maybe better than even our D core from 05-06. It kinda came out of nowhere. I mean, coming into this season, no one knew they'd be this good. I think they may be worthy of a nickname or something.

How about the...

"Super Dooper Really Good Defense."

Nah, that's not quite epic enough.

Any ideas?

I bet the Gopher fans(if there are any left) could think of something good.

:D :p :D :p :D :p :D :p

Russell's postgame sounds like a broken record.......same thing every week.

Russell's postgame sounds like a broken record.......same thing every week.

Not sure what else he has to say when it seems to be the same story after every blowout loss (the PK, inconsistent lineup, etc.)

*shrug*

I agree that I'm getting a bit tired of hearing it every week though.

Re: Tech at Wisconsin: Prune Juice and Broken Hips

They did, while the game was going on no less. About 8 of them I think. A Tech player lobbed a couple back into the stands, earning some boos.
maybe your fans shouldn't be morons and throw their hats on the ice at the appropriate time...I think there should have been a bench minor for throwing anything on the ice during play...thats just play retarded

Yeah, learn to wait for a whistle dumasses. I am pretty embarrassed with the Tech performance tonight. We gave up way to soon into the game. We need to take less penalties early and play a full 60 minutes.

Re: Tech at Wisconsin: Prune Juice and Broken Hips

Sounded like last night's game was an offensive explosion for Wisconsin... I'm sad that I'm not going to make it down to Madison tonight for what's sure to be another goal scoring clinic by Geffrion and co.
