Oh great, I turned the TV off right after regulation ended, because one of the announcers pronounced earlier there would be no overtime if it ended in a tie!

Team USA vs Finland Sat. AM. Live 6:30 AM eastern 3:30am pacific :eek:
and several times during the day--10:00 am, 4:30 pm and maybe again at 8:00 pm on the west coast.

It appears the US will be cutting Stefan Matteau and the University of Minnesota's Brady Skjei. One more defenseman needs to be cut, and if it's based on health, Connor Murphy may be chopped if he isn't 100%. This may mean Wisconsin's Jake McCabe would make the cut. Maybe a bit of unique karma that Matteau and Murphy are facing possible cuts shortly after dodging their college commitments.

McCabe is safe, he's been named captain.

If you're looking for great USA WJ coverage, check out Chris Peters' blog www.unitedstatesofhockey.com

He is about as good as it gets when you're trying to wrap your head around the WJ with coverage. Definitely great stuff involving the US team.

Team has a solid chance at a medal but the gold will be tough....right now Canada is 1A and Russia is 1B though keep an eye on Finland.
