Sweet Release: Michigan Tech Offseason Thread Part I

Re: Sweet Release: Michigan Tech Offseason Thread Part I

It's definitely time to retire the toothless Piano dog logo. I will never spend a dime on gear with that hideous thing on it. Someone told me a Tech employee created it. Certainly a student logo contest could do better than that.

I would prefer something mean like the photo in the earlier message, not like the UConn happy husky logo http://www.uconnhuskies.com
It should have blood smeared all around its mouth and dripping from its fangs.

That is the theory I've been going by for years.

Just wanted to make sure we were on the same page. I also understand that the man upstairs doesn't have the most favorable view of our fine state?

I won't argue with you the bolded part but I think the Home and Road Jerseys for Tech look awesome. I think the 3rd Jersey needs to go back to the the way it was before the change:

I miss these. :( I thought that's what I'd be getting when I bought my gold jersey years ago.... but that's the year they went and changed it on me... boo!!!

I'm not sure if I posted this before, but the topic reminded me of a concept that I put together using some free online tools and sent to Jamie as a suggestion for future designs. As a jersey collector I'm always looking for something new and interesting and I thought something that included the Copper Country in the theme with a copper color / metallic dazzle body would be neat. Also something with the original script M-C-M would be cool as a shoulder logo, but I couldn't find a logo to use so piano-key huskies ended up on the shoulders.

I really like this concept, but I think of Batman when I see it. However the old school / new school idea has great potential.

Nice

ctf and I came up with a new Deadliest Warrior episode last night. Cowboys vs Indians, cowboys special weapon: Blankets laced with small pox
Eh, smallpox is so tough to find. Just give the savage some whiskey and he's sure to drink himself to death.

So, Ryan Furne's been consistently solid as the GB Gamblers head into the finals, 5-5-10 through seven games. McCadden has 3 points. Pencil is May 12th for the Resch Center for the deciding game 5 if it comes to that. I'll be going through Green Bay but sadly, can't stretch my trip around one of the games.
Furne should be another Brett Olson, who I guess isn't going pro after all?
