Re: Sweet Release: Michigan Tech Offseason Thread Part I

Furne should be another Brett Olson, who I guess isn't going pro after all?
I would would have thought we'd have heard something about it by now if he was, but he could still sign with someone at any time, so I wouldn't be too sure until after he shows up with the team come next fall.

We should recruit more guys like Furne, good Minnesota boys. :)

This is true, however generally if a kid doesn't sign within a week or so of the last game, they will be back. If your goal is to turn pro and get paid, why wait until the fall to do so?

No we should recruit more guys like Conner. Good Michigan boys.

Re: Sweet Release: Michigan Tech Offseason Thread Part I

Are you saying UND would like to pay the rights to use it as their new logo or will they just steal it? :p
No

Negotiating the contract...plus, if their NHL team is making a Stanley Cup run, the club's efforts are on that.

More kids sign more then a week after their last game then sign within that first week...

Re: Sweet Release: Michigan Tech Offseason Thread Part I

my pick to win the cup got eliminated tonight. shows what I know.
I don't care who wins, as long as Hossa loses in the Cup finals.

edit: I don't want a Canadian team to win. My inner Minnesotan hate for Canadian teams is starting to show through.

I'll be happy with Hossa losing to The Wings.

Re: Sweet Release: Michigan Tech Offseason Thread Part I

The only thing regarding the wings that would make me happy is if their team plane crashes into the Rocky Mountains and every single one of them dies.

That's harsh.

Why do you hate everything successful that comes out of Michigan?

Do you hate me too?

Re: Sweet Release: Michigan Tech Offseason Thread Part I

Michigan doesn't ... ah ... actually make cars anymore. :)
Supposedly my truck was designed there....and my last truck was built in Hamtramck (or however you spell it), it said so on the inside of the door.

and going back to tDarkness's original question, I hate some unsuccessful things from Michigan too! Like the Michigan football team!

Re: Sweet Release: Michigan Tech Offseason Thread Part I

you bought a truck built in Hamtramck?? they are so dumb there they bought the old Olympia Stadium to use for ice fishing.

Michigan football is the great evil to come out of Michigan.

Yep, it was a good truck, only problem I had was a transmission and that I blame on the stupidity of all of Chrysler. My cousin has been driving it for the last 2 years, still runs great, from what I hear. Even though he's well on the road to trashing it. Farm boys, what can you do? :p
