Survivor: Nicaragua

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

I know I'm going out on a limb here, but I don't think Jeff likes quitters does he?

He should have thrown the torches in the fire. They didn't deserve to have their torches put out.

What a freaking joke. Suck it up. You're 11 days from a million dollars and 12 people before you were knocked out trying and still wanting to play the game. There is no place for people like that and they deserve every jab they get from Jeff.

I would like to see the reactions from Brenda and Marty and Alina when they meet up as members of the jury. That will be telling, and could make for good TV.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

The producers should have made a decision on the spot that quitter's don't get to sit on the jury. If you don't have the guts to play the game, then you don't get to decide the winner either.

This is the first season that I've watched, but I have to think that after this long they've already set that precedent. Or is this the first time people have quit this close to the end?

It has happened once before with the 10th season when someone quit on day 27 and became juror #2.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Does anyone else think this season's tribals across the board have been the best out of any season?

Almost every tribal council something out of the ordinary has happened or someone has blown up on someone else. It's been great.

People say this show gets old and I don't understand it. The game changes every season because of the people and different characters that come about. ****ed off Jane was one of the funniest things I've seen on TV in awhile.

I hope Fabio wins this thing, but he's next on the chopping block.

IMHO, either Sash or Holly need to realize their best chance to win is by bringing Danny and Chase to the final three and form a new alliance.

If they do that, they're golden.

My gut is Sash will be the one to figure that out quicker than Holly. As long as Fabio doesn't win the final two immunities, he'll be the next to go unfortunately.

But, if Fabio gets to the final three, he's got a good as shot as anybody.

IMHO, Chase and Danny have no shot of winning this thing. It's between the other three. Sash is the smartest and has probably stepped on the least amount of toes while still controlling the game. He's got Brenda's vote and probably Naonka and Purple Kelly's. Sash actually never screwed Marty and I could see Marty giving it to him.

This, but apparently it has happened before.

Naonka's decision not to give up her reward for the team, and her statement about it "I aint no fool" convinced me that she is actually, literally a sociopath. Supposedly it's 1 in 25, so every year or so there should be 1. There's really nothing to be done with people like that - they're animals, not humans. Unless we can find a moon for them all to live on where they can't hurt anyone, they should probably be put down.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Jeff has been interesting this season. He really rode those two quitters hard. When he put out their flames he said "now get out of here" very smugly and when he introduced them as jurors for the first time he said "and our two quitters". He also basically begged for Jane to come out and lay out the idea of a 3-3 tie in the last vote. It's been an interesting season for the twists and turns, but I'm not excited about the very end. I don't mind having someone around to hate, but in the end I really want to see good people do well. There is an excellent chance the only choices in the final vote will be people I don't like. Fabio is the one nice guy, but he's obviously on the block if he loses either of the next two challenges. Dan seems OK but they know they can cut him loose at any time because he's no threat to win anything that takes any use of the body.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

I didn't really understand why Jane decided to not only burn, but carpet bomb all of the bridgets. A normal player would scramble and make a 3-3 tie, to force the three to do something. But somehow, being dishonest is worse than putting the fire out. Twice.

Jeff's prod made me think that at tribal was the first time it dawned on her to try something.

It was also interesting to hear the 3 speak so freely, while Dan and Fabio talked the normal- "sure, whatever you say" answers without an answer.

Now it will be interesting if the 3 stay together for the final. The preview implies they don't, but I'm sure that's just to get us to watch on Sunday.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

About 3-4 weeks ago Fabio became the player I wanted to win, even though I didn't think he would actually be able to pull it off. Good for him.

She's a ****tard. It amazes me that people go on a game where one of the necessary strategies is to back-stab, and then when they are back-stabbed they act like it's the Holocaust.

Naonka is still a soulless narcisstic fool, but she really cleaned up nice.

Peachy has always had nothing but disgust at quitters. I used to think it was all an act, but I'm starting to think he has a "show ethic" that is offended when people quit. "You don't respect yourself, and that's your problem. But you don't respect THE GAME, and that's MY problem!"

Double agreed.

It was great to see him win. I let out a little 'YESSSS!!!" when the final vote came out.

I was surprised Sash didn't get a single vote. I was half expecting the final vote to be Sash, which brings me to my next question. What happens if there is a tie in this new final three format? The fact that Sash didn't get a single vote makes me think there might have been a tie and then they had to do another vote between the two highest vote getters.

I'm not too excited about next season's twist. I was expecting a cold climate for the first time or it was Jeff's last season. (Which it still may be, correct?)

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Also, speaking of the women on the show.

I always thought Alina looked great on the show and then she looked even better at tribal council and at the reunion. Big fan. Was really upset to see her go so early.

Purple Kelly wasn't so bad either ;)

Jane got scary thin during this thing. I was glad to see she won the Sprint Player of the Season. It was pretty much hands down though that she should win.

I barely recognized Sash. He looked completely different at the reunion than he did on the show.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

PrezdeJohnson, Jeff is now on one year contracts, as "Heroes vs. Villians" was his contract year, so to speak. He had said he wants to take part in other projects, but I imagine that he has alot of power in the game, as in he not only hosts it, but is also in charge of casting, rule changes, making up the challenges, etc, so I'd imagine he makes a pretty good coin and he is second in line only to Mark Burnett, which would be tough to give up. I half expected that to be the announcement as well, and when they showed Russell and Boston Rob, for Jeff to announce that one of those two would be the host, which would be the two best choices. However, if Jeff isn't the host of the show, I will probably give it a year to see how it is, but IMO, Jeff is the best at creating controversy at tribal council. Love the "Naonka and Purple Kelly rule" about quitters being on the jury.

In the event of a tie, I believe the winner is the player that received the least number of votes in ALL of the Tribal Councils.
