Survivor: Nicaragua

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

If they've ever watched the show...they should know that going off like that at tribal is going to get you kicked off. I would have changed my vote at that trial.

I thought Fabio was great at tribal. He kept trying to get Shannon to shut up but he wouldn't listen....Naonka is crazy but since she is with the alliance with the upper hand...and she wants Fabio out, I wouldn't be surprised to see him go next.
Fabio getting it when he didn't doesn't say much for Shannon. You can never tell with the editing, but I'd have to guess those 3 all flipped at tribal. You just have to cut bait with a loose cannon like that. It's one thing to stir it up between 2 other people like Russell used to but what he did was totally different. Ripping the guy for being gay was stupid. He's obviously lying about it, but who cares. It just made Shannon look petty.

Fabio seems like a nice enough guy. If someone stole my socks and the went on to tell me how much they disliked me I'd rip the socks right off her feet. I hope she somehow goes early. You want interesting people around, but I never like seeing loudmouthed morons do well.

Well they showed that Fabio voted for Brenda(?) and Shannon did. Fabio wasn't smart enough to figure out that Shannon was going. I'm interested to see how this week goes and what the twist was they were foreshadowing in the previews...my guess is that the young tribe will be given the option to take an old person for a young person or smething to tha affect.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Naonka certainly keeps things interesting but man is she a beotch.

I really want to see Kelly kick her arse.

I think the older tribe made a mistake by voting off Jimmy J. I think Danny is a waste of space and atleast Jimmy J helped out.

The guy that won the bag tossing for the younger tribe is my odds on favorite for the win.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Boy, that really wasn't the way I saw Jimmy going out. You think honestly saying he was little weak at tribal hurt him? It seemed like that kind of settled it for Tyrone.

I think they might have taken it as a sign of weakness and no one wanted to get caught out voting against Marty.

Certainly if JJ pushed a little harder he probably could have stuck around and got Danny out but he wasn't really interested in that part of the game IMHO.

I really think Jimmy would have gone out first if that crazy lady hadn't gone off in tribal. no one wanted him there....i think he would have fared a lot better on the young team.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

I'm glad he's gone. Until we got rid of him the show was all about him. Now it's back on kilter. If you can be "on kilter."

Thank God only about one person in a hundred is like NaOnka. I don't know whether she was dropped on her head as a child or whatever, but half the misery of the world is caused by hate-filled people like her. :(

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Finally got to see my first episode of this set- should I go back and see the previous ones, or was there enough drama to understand the game in that one show?

Man Naonka is not a nice person. What was really funny about that was the cat fight over the clue, and then nobody else in the tribe figured out that you needed to keep a close eye on her- since a CLUE was the only thing that would make people fight like that. Next time, Kelly- once you see it, grab it. Your team is too stupid to understand subltety.

I think Jimmy tried to show that he wasn't as strong as he really was- to pretend he was not a real threat. But the team saw through that. Still, I actually agree with Jeff on this one- he was the only proven leader. Which is funny when you get 3-4 A types trying to lead the team as carefully as they could. If I were one of the "leaders" I would have kept JJ until later- he was an easy target, especially if they continue to struggle. He's far from a threat this early on.

I did think it was funny how the one guy was "put me in, Coach! I'm worthy".

Not sure if this one will be that interesting- I drifted to the web as the show was going on...

I think that JJ didn't push his leadership skills enough. That's why (IMHO) he's no longer in the game.

I haven't seen last nights yet...**** DVR. But the Naonka/Fabio saga in episode two was definitely worth watching...and the Shannon meltdown.

Episode one wasn't that spectacular.

I should have been more clear. I saw who they voted for. I was just trying to speculate when they made that decision.

Jimmy was interesting, but in a positive way. Not like that crazy sock stealing chick on the young team. I didn't want him gone.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

I know there's still 10 min left for tonight, but I swear- do these people even watch Survivor???

So much history repeats itself, digging holes, burning bridges, etc.

I guess I don't KNOW how I'll react, but I swear, I would pause before saying ANYTHING.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

If you're talking about tribal....Jeff doesn't really let you get off the hot seat when you're in tribal.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

I thought it was interesting how the two teams shook up. It was funny that Holly abandoned her older teammates immediately. I like Benry and Chase. I was a little surprised to see Tyrone go with Naonka acting the way she is and them having the numbers with Holly, but Holly could just as easily flip flop back. Again, Tyrone made those stupid Survivor mistakes of being bossy and impersonable to the new kids right off the bat. They made it sound like Dan wants to throw in the towel next week. That would be disasterous for anyone because he's an easy ally that has no chance of winning.

I'm really looking forward to the complete blind siding of Marty. His only saving grace is that Idol as long as he's smart enough to use it at their first tribal no matter what.

Somebody always makes this mistake -- the most demonstrably terrible strategy. It's as if they didn't watch previous seasons.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

I can't believe that worked out for Marty. I guess I don't see how what he did served him any better than just hanging onto the idol would have. If he kept it, he would have been guaranteed safety for one week, then have to hope for a merger ASAP, with his tribe probably winning a challenge or two to even get to that point. Giving it up, he still needs a merger, and he gives up that guaranteed safety.

That's the second week in a row he could have been gone, quite easily. Very strange.

It was interesting to see an idol given up, and not bite them- that has to be a first.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

See ya Alina. I can't believe Marty is still in the game. Based on the way they casted, the older tribe never had a shot. You have Marty, Tyrone....and then, nothng. Even if Jimmy Johnson were still around to strategize, they wouldn' have had a shot. BTW, this season has been so forgettable that I forgot Jimmy Johnson was still on.
