Super Bowl XLVIII and NFL Thread: Sherman's March to Jersey

Re: Super Bowl XLVIII and NFL Thread: Sherman's March to Jersey

I don't get the chick Gil a reference. Was that on earlier? I missed the first couple of commercials.

Chick-fil-a is an awful company that hates all people that are disadvantaged. Them employing a bunch of them is to be ignored.

So wait, people are outraged over the coke commercials? I just thought they were terrible and boring.

Have you heard of the internet? ;)

Honestly, there is a huge backlash right now against Coke.

Missed most of the Superbowl because I was out moving snow so that I would have room to move more snow later on this week. It pretty much looks like all I really missed as the commercials.

For what? Because they sang a song in Spanish? JFC.

I hated the commercials because they were boring and terribly put together. The other companies commercials (Cheerios, Microsoft, Bud, etc.) that weren't comedic in nature were well done. They were touching and gave you either a case of "allergies" or instilled a sense of pride. The Dylan one was another that was a flop in my opinion.

Coke's suffered from being cold, corporate, and devoid of any originality.

Agreed. So the 1% of 1% of twatterers who are flaming xenophobes or homophobes won't buy Coke. Great. They can turn down a single bottling line to 99.999% for half a second to account for the loss in production before the idiots who were poutraged over it forget why they were poutraged and buy a case next week.

The funny thing about this is during the AFC Championship game, the Patriots had a snap just like this happen to their punt team, at about midfield that turned into a safety. You can see in Peyton's eyes that he is thinking exactly about that. :D

They won't even have to do that. The "loss" will be offset by people who will buy Coke because of the ad...

Not too surprised about how this turned out. Manning got lulled into a false sense of security playing in the AFC championship game against a Pats secondary that rarely turns around to look for the ball, and when they do usually whiffs at it. Seattle's D doesn't appear to do anything too gimmicky, they just watch the ball and have great speed. Also their linebackers can cover which is about as rare as a punter scoring a touchdown. Best D I've seen since the Ravens of the early 2000's.

They did get lucky with the weather at least. Today, heavy snowfall, windy, below freezing.
