I hope there is not a jinx associated with that prediction

Do you realize how much I had to pay them to have it.printed like that? Almost as.much as I had to pay the linesman back a while ago to blow the offsides call that let Platsburgh win!

All kidding aside I dont see Oswego tanking this year. In every year (lord knows there have been many) Oswego limped in with a loss in one of its last 3-4 games.....not.this year. They are playing great hockey and Im not sure if anyone will beat them. Do I hope Im wrong? Sure Id love to add another year to Choke List 101, but from a hockey standpoint a very talented and hungry team. If Im Oswego I like my chances. Are they beatable? Sure. Did anyone see Plattsburgh losing to Brockport? The mental toughness Oswego has shown over the past few weeks is what seperates them from the great teams. We were in Cortland Saturday night, Plattsburgh comes down on a 3-on-1 and misses a wide open net, Oswego finishes.

I thought the 2010 team was unbeatbale too...(except for maybe by Norwich)

But unfortunately that epic showdown never took place in Placid.

See thats the issue...worry about getting out of the SUNYACs first.....normally on any given year when you get to the Final Four any team is pretty much equal. If you were to play each other 10 times its probably 50/50....when we are talking SUNYACs Oswego should win 9 out of 10 times against teams not named Plattsburgh....

I'm going to the Fredonia@Geneseo game tonight with a Plattsburgh fan I met at the Platty-Oz game, if you see a guy in an Oswego Jersey sitting next to a guy in a Plattsburgh Jersey feel free to stop over and say hi.
Weirdest sighting of the year, hope you buy him dinner first :p

The third period of the semi final game between Oswego and SNC that year was one of the best 20 minutes of college hockey I have ever seen!!

The SUNYAC MVP Award is the Herb Hammond Award, at Oswego he compiled a 176-122-5 mark (.589) and at Plattsburgh was he named the 1982 Division III Coach of the Year and compliled a 52-17-4 record (.740).

Just noticed the SUNAYC 1st, 2nd, 3rd teams. I don't understand how Hare gets 3rd team. Lead in just about every category and this snub. Maybe that is the SUNYACs way like last year with Beckwith. His consolidation prize was 1st team All-American. I hope Hare does better with the All-American status.

Being discussed in a different thread.

If a team can not let Oswego seize and keep the momentum they can win. I don't see anyone coming back to beat them but if you can keep them tied or get out ahead you have a chance.

In Placid two years ago they came out of the locker room amped up and ready to go. They had to stand a long time for the ceremonies and started the game a little flat, a Kevin Huinink turnover later they were down. St. Norbert never let them get on a roll and another Huinink turnover at the end of the game sealed the deal. If they can just get past the trend of beating themselves in the playoffs I don't think there are many teams that can beat them straight up.

This group seems to really be buying into the one game at a time philosophy so I like their chances more than last year for sure, but if the past has taught us anything it is never clear sailing in the playoffs.

If that's not the understatement of the year, I don't know what is. :)
