Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

Re: Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

Alien Nation

"You know, I was so bored once that I fugged* a dog"

Sid and Nancy

"The 90's are killing me. I shouldn't have done that. You're not supposed to tell a guy you're gonna kill him no more. I got to tiptoe through the tulips with these *******s. Taking all the fun out of the job."

OK-Is this a cooking movie? Something about chefs? Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe? I have no clue here. Is it recent or an oldie? Normally I give it a day to see if my brain is functioning but this one just isnt ringing any bells.

Anyone? I am just not as up to date with the newer movies as I am with the oldies.

Amen. However, "Julie and Julia?"

You don''t see "Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe" much anymore. Robert Morley was one of the all time great character actors.

Robert Morley movies used to be on the 4:30 movie on ABC in NY all the time. He plays a great befuddled British official in every movie.

Short part but wonderful in the African Queen as The Brother!

Your turn to post-remember Jenny and I have just finished a month of Turner Clasic Movies showing all the Oscar movies of the past 80 years;)

Try this:

"In life, in order to understand, to really understand the world, you must die at least once. So it's better to die young, when there's still time left to recover and live again."

Familiar but neither of us can come up with this one. Is it recent or an oldie?

Re: Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

1971 (doesn't seem so old to me :)) Directed by Vittorio de Sica.

Was it subtitled? I almost never watch movies with subtitles. Jenny watches far more of the foreign movies than I do-Ill see if she comes up with anything. I'm still a total blank on this one.

IIRC it was. Oscar for best foreign film. I'm feeling guilty for this one.

This one has both of us beat. Neither of us are really good with foreign films. Thanks for the hints but we are still stumped.

Cheap shot, a foreign film. "Garden of the Finzi Continis," about a family of rich Jews who think they're immune to the ravages of the Holocaust. I'll have a better quote in a minute.

Try this:

"Now you take that diaper off your head and you put it back on your sister!"
