Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

Re: Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

The Cincinatti Kid

"You shocking degenerate. I've seen the worst - the dregs - but you... you are the lowest. Makes me sick to breathe the same air."

Cape Fear(the original)-I was mesmerized by the beautiful Barrie Chase in a small but incredibly sexy role. The remake was a good movie but the original is a standout.

"Have you ever noticed the older you get, the younger your girlfriends get? Soon you'll be dating sperm"

City Slickers.

Greed can be a very powerful ally.

I saw the original the other day; Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum were perfect in their respective roles.

Mitchum was just plain menacing-I was so used to him playing the Hero roles that this shocked me. Just one good movie in all respects.

I wanted to think Wall Street but I know that is wrong-Jen says it is a Stars War movie but I only saw 4 of the six and don't recall this line at all. Are we close?

Star Wars episode I: The Phantom Menace

A: I think we should stay!
B: Why?
A: Because I'm in the dumpster already!

"Pineapple Express." I think I've seen this thing about ten times in the last few months, it's been all over cable.

Try this:

"Are you really a saint?"
"Of course I am."
"What was your miracle?"
"Don't you know? It was you."

The Saint with Kilmer?

If so, then I'll dig a quote up.

And also, The Saint with Kilmer was pretty decent, despite the reviews.

I agree with you about the Saint with Kilmer, although the quote doesn't come from it. Hint: this film is about a spiritual little boy who faces temptation in the form of a lot of money.

Gee, way to narrow it down. :p

Then I am lost.

Re: Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

This film features a kid actor who makes Macauley Culkin look like a troll.
It's about 5 years old, British, and has to do with lots of found currency and what to do with it.

Re: Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

In response to a diminishing number of requests, the quote is from "Millions," which is a film that can make you laugh and cry. The quoted scene is the little boy (Alex Etel) talking to his dead mother. Causes me to mist over every time. I highly recommend this movie, it's a delight.

Here's another one, from an all time classic:

"There ain't no bedrooms in this joint, that's a newspaper building!"

"You're getting paid, Mister, for opinions or for hauling?"

Citizen Kane

"I finally get a bouquet and it's a goodbye present. That's depressing."

Re: Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

This one will be so far from my knowledge base I could not even venture a guess. :(

Yeah, if the quote was from a Warner Brothers cartoon, I'd have a shot. "Ah paid my four bits to see the high diving act. And I'm a gonna see the high diving act. Somebody's gonna dive offa that tower, and that somebody's gonna be you. . .rabbit." (sic). But Japanese animation? Not a chance.

Re: Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

Hint 2: Second film to win an Oscar for Best Animated Feature, and the first and only non-English speaking film to win such an award.

Hint 1: 2001 Japanese animated film from Miyazaki

Spirited Away (I got it from your first hint - I was talking with 'Ewe about this movie recently)

Great movie, and one I need to watch again. Although, browsing the imdb page, you should have gone with this quote:
"For some reason, I can remember Haku... from a long time ago... but I thought I never met him before!" :D

Ok, here's the next quote, regarding a fine bit of misogynistic mistaken identity:

"Hi, I'm Dr. J.R. _____ from N.A.S.A."
"Oh, I'm so glad you're here, Doctor. I'm Jenny ______."
"Nice to meet you. I have an appointment with your father."
"Oh, no no. He passed away in 1962."
"Oh, I'm so sorry, then the appointment must be with your husband."
"I'm not married."
"I'm NOT sorry. Then it's probably with your brother."
"No, my brother's an interior decorator in Oshkosh. You see, Doctor... Vance. I'm afraid your appointment is with me. I'm DOCTOR Jenny ______."

I know this one-this is one of the campiest (and worst) shlock movies but it does have the delightful Leslie Parish in it(I still get the hots for her ever since she was in Lil Abner in 1959). I'll give others the chance on this one.:)
