Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

Re: Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

OK hint 2-plot revolves around 4 men who steal $250,000 during the 1940's.

Got it. The stamps, the stamps. "Charade." Extraordinary cast and one of Mancini's best themes. I'll have one in a minute.

Try this:

"Under the circumstances, best wishes hardly seem enough. Thanks are in order. Thank you for your companionship, for your stamina, your horse sense, and a hundred and one laughs. I also enjoyed looking at your shining hair and your shining face."

Norma Rae

"I beleive that God made me for a purpose, but He also made me fast. When I run, it's in His pleasure."

Chariots of Fire

"Yes. I also know that for as long as you can remember, you struggled against your own black heart and always lost. You watched your sprit, your very face change as the beast claws its way out from within you. You are in great pain, aren't you?"

Re: Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

OK SB_I know this one (I felt it was a pretty bad movie but Jenny loved it). I am not going to post the answer and give someone else the chance-will just hint that it was from a movie from the mid 90's.

Well, I don't know it. So I too will be waiting for someone else to get it.

Still hoping someone else will get this-but there were some great character actors in this flick(If I recall correctly).

Re: Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

This is just taking too long-the movie is The Shadow (with Alec Baldwin)-will post another shortly.
Peter Boyle and Jonathon Winters both were excellent in this one.

"I guess you could say that we broke up because of artistic differences. He saw himself as alive...and I saw him dead!"

Re: Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

It is. It's from Chicago. :)

"How do you shoot the devil in the back? What if you miss?"

Welcome back Bostonewe! The quote from Chicago was from Jenny who watches every musical ever made.
The Usual Suspects (love the ending)

"Fish in sea like flea on dog...Always present but difficult to find"

Hint: This line is spoken by a movie character who has been played by at least 4 different actors.

Easy and hard at the same time: Charlie Chan. But which one, and what film? Among the many actors who portrayed him, not a single Asian. And are you counting Peter Sellers who played Wang in "Murder By Death?"

Never counted that performance-that's why I mentioned at least 4 actors. This quote was from Charlie Chan at the Olympics. Just getting the quotee(?) qualifies you to list the next entry. I am pretty sure this quote came from Warner Oland portrayig the asian sleuth.

Okay, try this:

"Actresses are cheap in this town - and I got a lot of money."

I am not sure of the movie but this line is from a biography of Howard Hughes and allegedly said by him. Is this a recent flick or do I have to think about the oldies?

Re: Stump the USCHO Movie Buff(Part III)

Confirmed via IMDB. However my favorite quote is:

Jack Frye: So you want me to bribe senators?
Howard Hughes: I don't want them bribed, Jack. I want it done legally. I want them bought.
