Great quote-This Island Earth. One of my all time favorites as a kid-Not the scariest of sci fi movies but made a big impression on me.

Actually, no.

I will admit, this one is sort of tricky, as you're kind of right. The first half of the quote is from "This Island Earth", but the entire quote is from a different movie.

Now you have me really stumped -would then have to be a movie where someone is either listening to or watching This Island Earth or quoting from it. My forte is the old crappy sci fi movies-I don't ever recall seeing a movie in which This Island earth was quoted. I will need a lot of help with this one!(I did not even bother to read the second part of the quote-i was so sure from the first line)

Indeed, you are correct.

I feel kinda bad, as it was sort of a trick question, but it was a theater-released movie, which happened to feature (and riff on) "This Island Earth". I would never use an MST3k quote from one of the TV episodes (though I have used quotes from the movies they've riffed on; see "The Giant Spider Invasion" from earlier in this thread).

I know this one-but will wait and give others the chance at it. Movie from the early 80's with a phenomenal soundtrack

Glad you were able to get my Court Jester quote. As a kid I think I saw every Danny Kaye movie made and roared at his tongue twisting songs in each one.
