Still Complaining About ESPN...

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

XFL 30 for 30 on now. Pretty good so far, though maybe moving too fast.

Netflix dropped the 30 For 30 on stream, and disc selection is very spotty. Anywhere to watch this if one doesn't have cable? Doesn't have to be RIGHT NOW; just the 30 For 30 series in general?

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

Yeah, apparently ESPN is losing money because they're too liberal. Not because of something like cord cutters...

It'll be interesting to see what fringe stuff gets cut. I imagine Bucci and Melrose will be let go. I don't see them completely axing ESPNFC but I imagine a few people will be moving to NBC or Fox.

No, they're losing money because 95% of their programming is unwatchable. Exhibit A: Stephen A Smith

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

The crummy thing is, those are their highest rated shows.

Is the 6pm SC still as popular as it was? I stopped watching as soon as I noted that it's even more of talking heads and less about news than it was before. The thought that it also includes other pop culture items makes me want to see it less.

With all the time they spend promoting their NBA coverage, there's not much on to watch anymore for me.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

Probably.

I stopped watching when it became sports' version of TMZ. I want highlights, stats, and standings. Didn't care much for anything else.

That's why most sports league just run highlights on their own channels. NHL, MLB, MLS all have highlights available on YouTube. Heck MLS will have live highlights on their app.

Bingo. I did like PTI, but obviously never really home to watch it. And now that I cut the cord, that's of no concern anyway.
