St. Lawrence Skating Saints Lake Placid Edition

Re: St. Lawrence Skating Saints Lake Placid Edition

Hockey East = UNH for 2 (Olympic Ice Surface), Northeastern for 2, UVM for 2.

Big Ten = Penn State for 2.

NCHC = Miami for 2.

AHA = RIT and Niagara.

It looks like instead of UNH for two games it's actually UNH and Merrimack one weekend on the road. So, it's one UNH, one Merrimack for a weekend with UNH and Merrimack slated to come to Canton the following year.

According to Chris Heisenberg's recruiting list we have a new recruit on board for the Saints. Arthur Brey, a goalie with Sioux Falls of the USHL has committed to play for SLU. He is listed at 6' and 165 and that's about all I know for now. He is also showing as birth year of 1994, which makes a bit older for a freshman, but I assuming that just means a shorted time table for his arrival in Canton.

That means we might have 4 goalies on the team next season, OR one won't make the team, has/will transferred/transfer, or leaves early for the pros. I think having 4 goalies is not going to happen. I guess time will tell.

We will take Hayden off your hands and you can have the other 3 :D .

Was anyone else watching Wheel of Fortune last night and notice the mention of St. Lawrence University by one of the contestants? ... Just a random moment I noticed and thought it was pretty neat considered the show is filmed/located on the other side of the country. I'll post a video if I find one somewhere! :)

They had a contestant search in Syracuse in the summer of 2013; perhaps that was the tail end of the pool eligibility.

That makes sense and most likely how it happened. Still pretty cool to hear nonetheless! :)

Pretty good SLU contingent in Boston. I was lucky enough to be invited for last night's semifinal games, which also included a trip in Mr. Peabody's Wayback Machine. Had a nice visit with 4 of my classmates and a couple of other SLU family members from the Stone Age. Lots of fun.

So my Leafs cleaned house yesterday from the GM to all of the coaches. I was just reading an article which stated Ray Shero would make the most sense as the new GM. I can only hope and pray....

I am hoping they fire PC in Boston and he goes there.

Re: St. Lawrence Skating Saints Lake Placid Edition

Carvel named an assistant coach for the US World's team. He'll be working under Todd Richards and alongside Dan Bylsma. Pretty decent company there.

Re: St. Lawrence Skating Saints Lake Placid Edition

Greg's resume continues to grow and you are 100% correct Spaceman, as this will help recruiting.
