Re: St Lawrence Hockey

Saints are 2-7-1 in last 10 with bulk of ECAC schedule left every game is important can they climb up the ECAC ladder? The RIT series is huge and becomes very important. Now the real season begins.

Re: St Lawrence Hockey

I'm missing something, so help me out, guys. "Everyone" agrees that we have good coaching and good players--so why do we always give up leads? And to continue to lose at home. . . . This could be an amazingly depressing year, since I don't (and probably won't) even have the Laughs to laugh at.
My wife and I are actually about to move from the Gunshine state back to the Umpire state, and one of my reasons was to be able to see the team play in person. Meh.

I think everyone agrees we have great coaches. And there are some very good players at SLU. I'm not sure everyone would agree on what SLU has for depth of talent right now. In any case, the coaching staff are in their first full year. It's possible the team's just struggling through some changes, and they'll come out the other side better than ever. It's tough to see them struggle, though.

Tomorrow is another day. :)

We're going to be OK. I think that a .500 this season is a realistic expectation, but then look out. There's no question in my mind that we already have a top-10 recruiting class for next fall, but that's next year. Congrats. to the team on achieving the Program's 1,000th win.

Hello Last Place

Is there a panic button somewhere I can push??? Gotta beat Bruno tomorrow night.

Watched on NBC Sports tonight the Union at Princeton game. Lot's of on air comments from Pierre McGuire about ECAC teams and SLU in particular. They talked about Bob Prier quite a bit and his background at SLU. Then towards the end of the game they had a close up crowd shot and guess who they showed sitting there at the game??? Joe Marsh. Pierre went on to talk about Joe's great career, all his wins and then teased him about an SLU guy cheering for Princeton!!!

Mike, I watched the third period and saw and heard that as well. It was good to see.

As for the Saints, they just need to keep their chins up and keep working hard. The effort was there for 60 minutes against Yale. Special teams were the difference in the game.

Yes, Joe Marsh wearing a Princeton hat looked odd, but he looked great and I'm happy that he was there to cheer on Bob Prier's team. As for our team, we just need to beat Brown tonight because I don't see us winning next weekend at Cheel as Clarkson, despite being 4-11-5 now, just has our number.
