Re: St Lawrence Hockey

Heisenberg also reports that Trevor Hills from the BCHL is incoming this fall. A LW from Rochester, NY, Hills has 7 goals and 12 assists in 24 games so far for the Chilliwack Chiefs.

Trevor is the son of RIT associate head coach -- and former Hobey finalist at Bowling Green -- Brian Hills.

Re: St Lawrence Hockey

Given the recent results, I was prepared last night to see a team that was snakebitten and struggling to break through for a win.

I was not prepared for what I saw. Yikes.

I completely agree with others who have said we've got the best coaching staff around.

After watching that game in Lake Placid last night.... I am going to ask to be put in the Witness Protection Program. I'll see if Tim wants to join me.

Tech is not a very good hockey team. Yet, somehow we managed to find a way to make them look slightly less miserable than we were. Woe is the North County.

Re: St Lawrence Hockey

On the bright side -maybe the only thing on the bright side - was the attendance at Lake Placid. I don't know the exact number but the place was 3/4 or more full. The schools are relatively close but I met many SLU fans at the motel who traveled a distance. Hope the Festivus weekend continues and am looking forward to the league championship in that great hockey town.

Re: St Lawrence Hockey

Some small positives - that wasn't a league game and doesn't sink SLU any deeper in the ecac basement. Saints get to play a hockey east team next week :)

I don't think we can go any deeper in the basement------

May-be now the league will realize that it was the wrong move to leave L.P. in the first place. I remember in, I believe 2000, that the Booster club hired or rented the Edwards-Knox highschool band to go to L.P. with us. The band marched from the hotel on one end of the village all along main street to the arena with hundreds of Saints fans in tow with the streets lined with the other teams fans. What a fun week-end, All the restaurants decorated with ECAC signs and than leave and go to Albany and beyond.I could never figure it out and got into some heated arguments on this thread over the move.

Pretty psyched that ECAC league championship will once again be played in LP! Great atmosphere/venue. Atlantic City is way too far out of the loop, personally didn't mind Albany and thought it was centrally located.

I was one of those calling for Albany, and I admit I was wrong. Albany was a disaster and Atlantic City is a disaster squared. Of course, I still am ****ed we left Boston. That is where we actually drew crowds and there were plenty of flights, restaurants, hotels, etc. LP is the only answer out of Albany and Atlantic City.

So, I admit I was wrong. Now, let's just hope SLU finds a way to get to LP every year. Otherwise, I guess it makes no difference and then the only place I'd go see the ECAC Championship is if it were in Manchester or Lowell.

Now, that's a musky - far bigger than any I've caught and released. Thanks for sharing, Joe.

Re: St Lawrence Hockey

You mean we have a chance to win the next game we play at Cheel??? Hey.....you said anything can happen!!!

Win at Cheel??..............there's a better chance that I somehow catch a 60+ pound musky or my lousy photography stuff actually makes money.:D

Re: St Lawrence Hockey

Hope the boys do some soul searching over break and come back with a vengeance after the new year. Pretty poor results to end the first half. Looks like we dominated the SOG category tonight, just couldn't score enough? Also, 4GA on 19 shots is.... oof.

Didn't get to see or listen to the game. Sounds like they might have come out with that vengeance Brandon but perhaps another aspect of the game let them down. Any word on what the Flanagan injury is??? It said in the recap there were a couple of players out including Flanagan.

The WDT article today said it was his knee and he sat out for precautionary reasons. It sounds like the Saints dominated the game but were not rewarded for that dominance. Here's to our Saints getting back on track in the 2nd half.

Re: St Lawrence Hockey

Merry Christmas Saints fans - win or lose we love this team and are thankful to root them on and for the great game of hockey!

Re: St Lawrence Hockey

Merry Christmas everybody. Hope all of you and the families are in good health and were able to spend the day with loved ones. As for me, I'm on the boat above Memphis awaiting the incoming blizzard.
