Space exploration: Where do we go from here?

The successor, for breakthrough science anyway, appears to be the Chinese FAST radio telescope.

The next American successor, in the design stage, is the Next-Generation Very Large Array (ngVLA).

Here is a notional idea of the scale of this monster:

Um. Wow.

It was to be expected. Science is developing, technologies are generally running ahead by leaps and bounds. So this is to be expected, although still a bit boggling. After all, this is such a genius, such a power of human thought makes it possible to create such incredible constructions and apparatus.

SpaceX had a successful abort-test for the Dragon/Falcon 9 this am

Well this is not surprising. The space exploration industry must develop further. It is our future. With proper development, with the help of satellite observations, we will be able to study more the characteristics of the behavior of animals and birds, track changes in the atmosphere and on the surface of the Earth. I believe that the seas and oceans deserve special attention for studying from satellites - there are still too many mysteries for mankind. I have always been fascinated by coral reefs and the news of the death of corals in the great barrier reef is a tragedy. It is very interesting to observe the dynamics of these formations. I think with the help of tracking from space it will become a reality. The main thing is that studies like this https://www.skyrora.com/post/coral-reefs-from-space are not the last

I mean, if you interpret memetics in a certain way, we are nothing but bots that our mitochondria use to get around and make copies of themselves.

It's bots all the way down, baby.

I also enjoy books on biology. Do you like biology? Where I can learn more about these? Thank you sirs.

Go outside between 5:00 and 7:00 tonight. Look SW. Jupiter and Saturn are closer right now than at any time, at night, since Peter Abelard was alive.

It’s overcast here so I can’t see it but you might be able to!

That was funny. When the mass balances were ejected they must have drifted through the data stream for a moment and it cut out. Everybody in Telemetry shit their pants. It lasted only a couple seconds; everything's fine.
