Softball; Because It's Bigger

Can't root for either of them. Don't care who wins.

Stanford and UCLA lost the SFs, for one final kick in the Pac-10 nuts.

I don't care who wins it all, but UT has among the ugliest unis I have ever seen:

Seems like orange stripes on white would work better than white stripes on orange. Unless they have to go paint a house right afterwards.

Surprise surprise, Texas plays tight in a big game. Pitching serving up gopher balls, batters swinging at pitches out of the strike zone, and errors and mental mistakes in the field.

Wish I could say I wasn't expecting that, but......

Texas again with the mental mistakes. How does someone who has played the game for that long get tagged out at first after a routine single?

And why isn't her coach yelling at her to get her azz back to the bag? Instead let's her frolic around out there for some stupid reason.

The 2028 Olympic softball tournament is being held in OKC rather than LA because they already have the 13k stadium built there. Sounds like the players aren’t too excited because it takes out the entire Olympic experience.

The surfing event for the Paris Olympics is in Tahiti...

Yeah, but they get to be in Tahiti. Trading LA for OKC isn't quite on the same page.

But it's a good cost saving measure. It doesn't look like UCLA has room to expand even to add temporary stands to their stadium (not like Westwood would allow anything anyway) and Oklahoma loves their softball.

Soccer typically does not play in the host city until the medal round.

Edit: Only the Gold Medal matches are in Paris this year.

When Atlanta hosted the Olympics, I went to a couple of women's soccer games in D.C. (my sister lived there).

My favorite off site story is when Melbourne hosted the Olympics, the equestrian events were in Europe, because Australia wouldn't allow any foreign animals in. (Even when Sydney hosted them, it was quite an ordeal to allow them in, requiring a very long quarantine period.)
