SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

According to the stats, they liked it so much, they did it twice!!

Will be interesting if those same ten shift together again tonight what will happen. Its good to see that the line with Donahue was involved in both. He continues to be a tone setter.

Re: SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

Unusual to see them get outshot 2 to 1 on Saturday, but a solid conference road sweep. If Jacobsen's play can be stabilizing we might see a lot more of him. The other two each had a rough stretch in River Falls the prior weekend.

Re: SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

It looks like the top lines are starting to develop. I have not been to many away games but it looks like returners Soley Keefer Ryd Stroh Perry Hoggie Joanette along with Donahue from last year and newcomer Bradshaw. Who else fills in depending on if Cogs goes with 11 or 12 upfront.

The last 40 minutes on Sat nite were the best two periods that SNC has played all season.
I would rate Fiala as the top new D man. His play has been very consistent.

Re: SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

In reviewing National stats, several SNC players are ranked very high:
++++Cody Keefer is tied for No. 1 in power play goals with four.
+++He is also tied for the lead in game winning goals with two.
+++Cullen Bradshaw leads the nation in rookie points with 12.
+++David Jacobson, another rookie, is tied for winning percentage at 1000%.
He picked up both wins this past weekend vs. Eau Claire.

Looking for four points this weekend.

So much for that plan. It's been pretty quiet in here lately. What's going on with the Green Knights and why are the fans silent, or is it not as easy to be all giggles when the team dares to actually lose a couple games?

SNC had numerous opportunities in the first period last night (with three PP's) but could not forge their first goal.
Credit to CSS for taking full advanatge of their chances and playing tight defense, from the goalie on out.
The NCHA will be very tight this season, with at least six teams, with a solid chance to win the conference title.
Time for the Knights to step up and salvage two points this afternoon.

Not all SNC fans are silent. I will say that it has been a different season to watch as most SNC teams in the past have been stellar in goal and defensive play from all players. This team is young but improving. I see a lot of talent individually. I just do not see the shut down defense as a team yet. I still have hope that this will improve and that SNC will be at the top of the NCHA in late February, early March. As Pete mentions, this is still very possible as there has not been a runaway team in the NCHA yet. 2 points this afternoon would be a nice start to a run.

Which one of you SNC fans tried to access my Facebook?:D (I did seriously have someone from De Pere access it.)

Re: SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

You can tell who tries to access your facebook?

If you/a hacker tries logging in your Facebook account from a place very distant from where you usually do, Facebook security will send a notice to your e-mail asking if it is you or not.
