SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

Re: SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

anybody getting audio? All I get is "stream not found"
It's a crap shoot each week as to whether it works or not. Frustrating!!

Re: SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

After a sluggish first period, SNC came storming out in the 2nd period and totally dominated the final 40 minutes of tonight's game vs Stout.
Great forecheck, timely scoring and solid D paved the way. No doubt these 40 minutes were some of the best hockey SNC has played on the road in the last couple seasons.
After we killed off the five minute penalty in the third period, Stout seemed to pack it in.
With the CSS win over River, we move into first place in the NCHA standings!!!
Great win, guys....

Re: SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

I know Stout is scuffling, but it's great to see a convincing road win. It was gut check time after the terrible road trip to Minnesota and they put together some pretty good hockey since.

The women looked good tonight. I like to see them get the payoff because they play with good effort and enthusiasm anytime I check them out. I'm hoping more people notice. Not counting anyone on the benches but including AD Tim Bald and a few reserves running the webstream I counted 44 soles present when the puck was dropped. I'd love to see that number grow tenfold in the next season or two.

Re: SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

Congrats and thanks to Coach on the 400th win. 36 wins in the five seasons before him...

Re: SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

curious to know when did today's game get moved over to St Paul and earlier start? Thank goodness I did manage to get bits and pieces of the audio stream as I was trying to talk hubby into driving over to Menominee today.......unfortunately schedules don't allow time to get to St Paul by 1...hope the audio stream works better today!

The game site and starting time has been out there for some time. Part of the Minnesota Hockey Day celebration schedule.
Nice feature for this contest: Admission is FREE!!

Last nights game and todays video on Stout web site as a very good option. It is a shame that SNC has a great team, great announcer in Derozier, and a continued problems with the audio feeds.

Re: SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

Nothing like starting on the next 400 right away - and staying in first place!

Re: SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

River-First to third in a weekend. I can only hope that SNC remembers the last 4 goal lead in River and the JV celebration demonstrated by a few River palyers after the game for some extra incentive to put the nail in the coffin on Rivers NCHA regular season.

Re: SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

After watching Friday night's game and looking at the scoresheet from last night, it looks like Joe Perry had a pretty nice weekend. On friday, it was totally badass to watch him go down to block those two consecutive shots late in a tie game (the second of which he was without a stick and clearly hurting) then score the go ahead goal about a minute later.

4 points would have been nice on the weekend, but 2 will have to do, especially after trailing by two in the second period of sat's game.

Perry probably had his best two game series as a GK. Sorry to see his go ahead goal on Friday get washed away with the sloppy defensive play late in the game and in OT>

I wanna give Perry some dap too. Not only did he seem to get injured on those two blocked shots, I believe it was his next shift that he manned up and scored the goal.
The crowd seemed to actually be paying attention because they erupted for his efforts. Odd

Perry was outstanding all weekend with the plays that you mentioned. I have to believe that the use of his big body will only lead to good things for the remainder of the season. I can only hope that some other players step up along with Perry. The SNC season is coming down to the stretch and they will need all the players to raise their game if they want to extend their season.

Re: SNC 2011-12 Regular Season Thread

You can add Bradshaw to that mix. He had a great weekend too. That game winner when Perry dropped the puck to Bradshaw who gave it back to Perry on the backside was a thing of beauty

Was able to watch Nick play this past weekend. While not getting a TON of ice time, he is dressing and playing in nearly every game. The times he was on the ice, he seemed to be playing well. Was in position and did not seem to let the speed and size of other players (most former D-I players) be a large factor. Bottom line, he looked like he belonged.
