SLU Hockey 2011-2012

Re: SLU Hockey 2011-2012

One analogy may be that "talk is cheap" or another may be "actions speak louder than words". All BS aside, this is a critical and potentially trendsetting game and nobody knows that more than the guys in scarlet and brown. Besides it's getting harder to get a "hate on" at my age...

Ya I know I put the ball on a tee but no insults are required from you Leckster. LOL

Hey, I am impressed you could remember your password.

I am just flat out at the moment. This is the longest I have gone into the season without seeing a game since I left SLU. It makes me angry enough to get my hate on. I am not going to make Burlington but am planning on the Dartmouth Tourney.

I can't remember when I saw them play during my freshman year (4 years ago already? Yeesh) but I have to believe this year is the longest for me as well. If I was home, I would be making the Dartmouth tourney for sure, but I'm supposed to come back here to the south the day before.

You're alive!!!

Too bad you couldn't make the game on Saturday. The team beat Clarkson and we ran into old #5 at the alumni reception.

Longest for me, too. Looking like my first game occurs when I can get up to Canton for the Brown and Yale games in January. Been listening to or watching most games, though, and think the team is poised to do some damage going forward.

Just saw that McKenzie got sent to the Houston Aeros. In 4 GP he has 2 assists so far, and a +3 rating. Should be a good organization for him, as they went to the Calder Cup Finals last year.

Also, he is now paired up with Bagnall down there, so I'm sure that is some fun for them.

Heads up, Saints fans....

your game on Saturday vs. Vermont is available for free viewing on http://www.nsnsports.net/.

Enjoy! and have a safe and happy Holiday season!

You mean I could have stayed home instead of going over to Burlington and having to meet up with that jerk TimU?;)

Kidding of course, but thanks for the update joe, I'm sure some of our other followers will appreciate that. Tim and I will try to make some noise for the boys in scarlet and brown.

Don't complain. Mike had to spend the night at my house, for crying out loud. How do you think he feels?

It's a wonder he got out of the house alive:eek: ;)

At the airport now to head home. With a (bunch) of luck, I'll be home around 10pm probably. With no luck? 2am, IF I can pick my car up from getting repaired in Syracuse. It sounded like they could leave it on the lot with the keys in it, just a matter of if it can be locked or not. I've got my other set, but still gotta work out some details once I figure out my flight situation out of ATL. Going to be an interesting day in the Flight Chronicles of hp1015.

Re: SLU Hockey 2011-2012

Knowing Mike, I'm wondering how you feel? :p

Now Mark.....play nice!!!! You're still getting over that OT loss to the Saints awhile back. You'll get your chance for redemption in the New Year!!!

Not only did I get out alive but I actually had a good time.

Actually I feel fine and had a great time.....I survived the stay with Tim. (Actually it is a pleasure staying there and Tim, Tracy and his boys are great hosts).

You are always so loquacious Tim! :D Must be how two Vermonters chit chat. Just like:

Vermonter #1 "Had to shoot my dog today".
Vermonter #2 "Jeezum, were he mad?"
Vermonter #1 "Well he weren't too darn pleased!"

Right!

"Lived here all your life, old-timer?"

"Not yet."

Or the old story of Calvin Coolidge at a dinner party:

"Mr. President, I made a bet with a friend who said I couldn't get you to say more than two words."

"You lose."

Eric Sweetman, D Youngstown Phantoms USHL 1994 DOB, tweeted yesterday that he is committing to SLU, not sure when as Heisenberg has not reported it.
Merry Christmas!

Did he give a year when he shows up?

He's from Maryland and a member of the 2010 State champion Glenelg Gladiators. Prior to Youngstown, he played for Team Maryland / D.C. Capitals 18U AAA.

With Chase Fuchs over @ the Alma Mater, that makes two Free Staters playing in the North Country. NICE!!!
