Re: SLU 2009-2010 Season

Great game for Pete Child and the rest of the Saints.

I'm starting to feel better about the upcoming conference play.
This Sacred Heart team beat Union and took RPI to overtime.
Under-18 has beat Cornell and trounced Colgate.
Dartmouth lost to McGill. Windsor beats Princeton.
Is nothing predictable anymore? :p

Re: SLU 2009-2010 Season

Hey guys,
I've got video up on the blog.
No game highlights today, I'm sorry. It got to be a blowout and Child's hat trick goal caught me a bit off guard (30 seconds after SHU scored).
I've got interviews with:
Mike McKenzie
Pete Child
Coach Joe Marsh

Take care and I'll be blogging live again tomorrow.

Re: SLU 2009-2010 Season

An entertaining win, totally lacking in drama--just the way I like it! The breakouts, and then the puck possession in the off. zone, were great to watch.
Speaking of watching, I built my pc from scratch using the best components--but still was getting a lot of lag on the B2 feed. BUT, I have finally figured out how to get a really good viewing experience. Here's how: as soon as you get the email confirming your purchase, close the B2 feed and RECONNECT using the confirmation code (just copy/paste). Now you're watching with Windows Media Player, which plays both larger and better. I've tried this twice now, and it works amazingly better than the original crappy, laggy feed--that's probably Quicktime, I guess. You can even see the puck! Try it tonite, as the Larries complete the sweep (I hope--but SHU is not gonna roll over & play dead).

Nice win! I did not seem to miss the close game drama too much either.:D Congrats to Child (hat trick!) and Carden on 1st career goals. Castle of the Saints is awesome! Heck of a job Dan! I checked it out for the first time and was very impressed. It provides a lot of extra insight into the games and info about the players which is cool.

Thanks for the suggestion.....I'll try it tonight.

I'm loving the game interviews and blog.......it really adds a nice element that has enhanced my enjoyment of following from afar!!!

I know that your focus right now is on a different type of game(s). Well, your Phillies got your Dad's Dodgers for the 2nd year in a row. Is he talking to you yet?:D Me and Spaceman are officially "enemies" with you until the Series is over (me thinks in 7).

Go Saints!

Hi Brian. Reffering to drama I have been getting enough watching the series but hey I guess I am glad the Phils are even there. Last year was great and this year is a pleasant surprise (I think they were still picked to finish behind the Mets and Braves in the NL East). The Phils had been horrendous for quite some time between 93' and 07' so you really appreciate the winning seasons when they come around.

Re: SLU 2009-2010 Season

Since Dan's doing such a heckuva job with analysis & interviews these days, there's less reason for us to post, I think. However, I do want to mention 2 things--one that Dan mentioned briefly before the game, and one that he didn't discuss at all.
First, the flu has really affected attendance--and perhaps to a lesser extent, the team--and we all know that the home team is supposed to get a boost from the fans. Except that there aren't many, due to the flu, I suspect.
Second, while the young D was outstanding in the Friday game, their inexperience caught up with them on Saturday. Even in the first period, when we were thoroughly outplaying SHU, I counted 5 unforced giveaways in our own end! And in the third period, those deflection goals can be laid right at the feet of our D, although Caister is no rookie, so not all are the result of inexperience.
The good news is we came back. Oh, and I'm sure that Coach Marsh (and a few more games under their girdles) will solve the giveaway problem.
A final impression: the zeebs sucked again! Talk about phantom calls! Ouch.

Re: SLU 2009-2010 Season

Looking forward to seeing the first action of the year this upcoming weekend at Princeton and Q. Mike-- I assume you'll be at the Q game?

Hey Brian, Tayt, and Super Dave

Not to distract us all from SLU hockey or anything, but did you happen to catch the baseball game last night? :D :D :D :D :D

I most certainly did!:D Also thinking of making the trek to the Qpac game on Saturday right after little league (funny how my son is still playing and MLB is over).

I just happened to catch it, then watched postgame stuff until 3:00 AM. I'll just have to change my Name here to: "Got 27, Want More." :D :D :D :D
Couldn't resist.

Pevs. had a goal and 2 helpers in the Thrashers win at Montreal a few nights ago!!!!!

Not making it to Q'Pac. Unless we play there in the playoffs, MarkEagleUSA will have to wait another year to get even with me for last's year's "welcome" we gave him and his family upon their arrival to meet us at the Hoot after their long trip. That was a fun time.
