I think Rau won the EP all-star matchup for the weekend. Even as a freshman he looks tougher then Kristo (although Kristo is clearly very talented and a top player anywhere).

Kristo was in his face all weekend. It was pretty interesting to watch. Don't know how much of it was caught on TV, but every time those two were on the ice Kristo was right next to him yapping in his ear.

That would be a side effect of the B1G forming - all sorts of first round matchup possibilities open up (also including the likes of CC, Denver, UMD, etc).

That's how I saw it. There was of course plenty of yapping going around, but Kristo going for Rau was repetitively apparent all weekend.

I'm not big into high school hockey or following recruits. I often don't even get to see the HS tournament due to using the limited flexibility in my schedule to ensure I am able to attend the Final 5 and watch most of the NCAA tournament; and the HS final is always the same night as the WCHA first round. So while I WAS aware Kristo is from EP, I never made the connection until it was mentioned here.
Makes a lot more sense now.

cc to brian - I suppose using the, "crown 'em" remark is supposed to make you feel better about the season so far? Even Gophers fans take the current ranking with a grain of salt but we're at least enjoying the ride. :)

So I haven't seen anything of Goon here lately though he was all over this thread early and busy trolling on GPL with his 7>5 repetition. Where is he now?

Showing his face here after a tough sweep would be the classy thing to do. You really didn't expect Goon to do that, did you? :)
