Re: Setting Sail - Oswego State Lakers 2010-2011 Season Thread
More crying by Oswego fans when they didn't win by enough to suit them. Between you guys and the Plattsburgh fans, the "sky is falling" scenarios are really getting old. Enjoy the fact that you are ranked number 1 and have only lost two games all season. Enjoy the ride for heaven's sake. Is there something about the water up there?
Although the Lakers controlled play, they wasted way too much time getting setting up for the perfect sequence. An excellent squad doesn't get into the situation of tonight, but a halfway decent team can pull itself out of a hole, if given the chance. Hopefully this is the end of the mucking about - put the pedal to the medal.
Boots, Moody, and Carr all disappointed me tonight, all with the lack of execution around the goal (less finese, more throwing it on net would be prefered), and general disposition...particularly in the case of one Ayotte. Whitelaw and Rodrigues pulled their weight, as did HVB (literally, at times). Beckwith...I wouldn't fault him for the goals scored against him - his defence was crummy. He certainly stood tall late to keep the game under control.
