SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

Welcome aboard Mitch. 16 forwards seems like a lot though.

It's a bit of a punch in the gut (NU fan), especially considering it came down to scholarship and paperwork issues. I'm fairly confident that MacMillan will be seeing plenty of ice-time for you guys. Enjoy.

I can imagine this is tough to take as the season is rapidly approaching. Good luck this season. Hope to see your Huskies back to their 08-09 form.

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

me too.... that year they were about a .500 team and missed they NCAAs

Ahh yes. Another UND fans who does not know what he is talking about. FYI the NU Huskies in 2008-2009 were 25-12-4 on the season and did make the NCAA tournament.

I believe you are posting this in the St. Cloud forum so let me apologize for my grievous error..... you seem to dislike UND fans for their arrogance but meanwhile you just drip with stench of being a massive d-bag yourself. funny how the world works.

It’s ok little fella. Reading comprehension just isn’t your thing. I really didn’t expect much different from you. I do dislike many UND fans for their arrogance but also ignorance(your picture here).

Except he said "your Huskies" to a guy from Massachusetts.

Don't you just love it when the cretins expose themselves to be morons, saving you the time and effort?

I bet he still hasn't figured out how he goofed.

If I lived anywhere remotely close, those seats behind you Skeeterman would be mine.

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

Update on my roadtrips for the 10'-11' season.

Miami in October is up in the air. It all depends on when Mr. wore Black can get out of school. If we do make it to the game, it would be for Friday's game only.

Grand Forks looks all but out. Sad because I can get free tickets to that series.

Final Five: You know I will be there!

Green Bay Regional: pending. If a "good" team and better yet, SCSU, is at the regional, I will make it up there. It is only 2 hours away.

Yes Skeeterman, I did find a job! It only took 10 months! I have been there for 3 months now. I am a graphic artist for a corporate apparel company. We design and recreate logos for t-shirt and other apparel. They surprisingly like me.

You should come to Omaha with us in Feb. We're gonna stop off in Iowa and pick up the Blind Ref ('cause obviously he can't drive), you should come with.

I don't have vacation, and it all depends on the money situation. I will get back to you about that.

To be perfectly honest, SCSU is dripping with talented forwards already. I was just looking at the roster of fowards, and barring injuries or ineligibilities, their will be more than one decent foward watching from the press box every weekend. MacMillan will be one of five freshmen fowards who all put up a bunch of points in juniors last year. The shortest of them (Johnson) will probably start on the bench, meaning that Mitch is going to have to distinguish himself amongst four high scoring forwards all over six feet tall, two of them being NHL draft picks.

That's partially why this move makes no sense to me and has me wondering if someone will be ineligible this season.
We are pretty stacked at forward already, no adding a 90 point BCHL guy doesn't hurt but he's really going to have to fight for playing time.

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

I'm not understanding why having a pantload of talented scoring forwards is a problem.

There is always the worry, at least for me, of "over recruiting" and having guys bail because of lack of playing time or whatever.
Now competition is never a bad thing and I think it helps players get better if they have to fight for their spots no matter who they are.
It's just an odd move so late for a kid who would have gotten playing time at Northeastern but may have a hard time cracking this lineup and seems to have gotten a scholarship to boot.
That's the really odd one as I would think we don't have the money to give at this point.

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

Anyone know when the single game tickets go on sale or if they're available already?

I called the ticket office last week. They said they will likely go on sale in the 2nd week of September but to call September 1st to check back. They did not have a firm date when I last spoke with them.

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

What's the latest on the new addition to the building? I'm looking forward to the improvements to the building. Does SCSU ever sell their game worn jerseys? I have a buddy of mine that wants one really bad.

You are not alone. There is a lot of people gettting very anxious for the addition. Last I heard there is still some fund raising that needs to be done to get things moving.

As far as the game worn jerseys, I can recall they auctioned off throw back jerseys as fund raiser a couple of times over the last 2-3 years. I believe the Center Ice Club (Huskies Booster Club) would have it posted on their website if something similar were to take place in the future.

Hope that helps.
