SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

Have your scouts been different the last couple years? I can't believe that the same guys that went out and got Kessel and Vanek also found Aaron Ness.

Sadly, this made me laugh. It does not seem possible. Unless the 2nd in command of your team is John Hill, then anything is possible.

Now you're trying too hard and getting cocky. That's right everyone thinks SCSU is going to sit atop this coming season and the Gophers will sit at 7 again.

We'll see.

The Gophers will swing home ice somehow. If tDon doesn't get them there, there is no way he's going to keep his job. Then again, I thought the same thing last year.

The problem with Ness isn't that he has not talent, the problem is that he was playing WCHA when he should've been a senior. We even had Hanowski go straight from high school to the WCHA, but for guys like him we have guys like Lauridsen, Hepp, Marvin and Oslund, who can help out and have some size. For the Gophers, they've got talent, talent, talent... but not much size or grit.

Haha...you a gopher fan now.:D

Nope. Not even by a long shot. :D I'm just being realistic here. With two new teams in the league at about the Gophers' level or slightly worse, the Gophers are probably going to be in the hunt for home ice just because they'll get the wins from BSU and Nebraska. They'll get bounced out in the first round or even the first Final Five game.

I'm looking forwards to a Huskies sweep at Mariucci in October.

They may get wins from Bemidji and Omaha but i'm not going to count them as a sure thing. Remember Bemidji beat them at Mariucci last year.

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

The gophers will be great as long as they keep bringing in guys straight from high school and guys that graduate early. The earlier the better, casue it's fun to see those guys get bounced around and frustrated. That's what I call Great!

I'm here to help.

Re: SCSU Huskies 2010 Off-Season Thread

I'm not sure. Which one are you for thinking Ness is a horrible prospect?

I'm not sure where I said that. I did say that the kid hasn't lived up to the impossible expectations that Gopher Nation had for him coming out of high school. Here's a rule of thumb: 99% of kids coming straight out of high school don't live up to the hype. That's not my opinion. That's fact.

Go have some Kool-Aid. You are going to need a lot of it. If need be...spike it. :p ;)

Let us have our ego trip for the summer time and then we end up like Cubs fans wondering why and where we failed. Wait....I am a Cubs fans so I know what it feels like to fail. No wonder being a Cubs fans makes being an SCSU fan easier. :o

Is there any do-it-yourself enema better than Fleet? (with the famous comfort tip)

Thoughts?

Hmmm. "99% (figure pulled out of air with no statistical citation) of kids coming straight out of high shool don't live up (in someone's opinion) to the hype (someone else's opinion)." But that's not your opinion, it's a fact?
