After choking in the big games, will Lee get much ice time this season?
My guess is the Dunn-Lee rotation goes through the tournament, or the Miami series, and then we'll see who takes the starting job. My money's on Dunn.
Unless someone steps up, the rotation should continue. As for who steps up. i'd put my money on Lee over Dunn. I don't see Dunn getting much better in college.
It's going to depend on how Lee handles himself this year against the upper-tier teams. If we don't know after the Miami series if he's ready, we'll know in early December after the UND series if he can take the starting job on a regular basis.
If I had to choose, I would have to agree with FTLT. Go with Lee. He is the "Wave of the Future!"
All I'm saying is Lee has the higher ceiling and farther to grow than Dunn does. I think Dunn can play as well as he did last year but I don't think he can play much better. Lee on the other hand has a lot further he can grow and I think the rotation will likely hinge on how he plays more than it will on how Dunn plays.

Definately. Lee's only a sophomore, he's got this year, plus two years in the starter role assuming Hardy doesn't blow everyone away somehow.

True, however, especially in one-and-done playoffs, both WCHA and NCAAs, with as quality of a team as he's going to have around him, I'm more worried about the basement than the ceiling.
Personally, I'll see how he plays as a sophomore before I worry about "the basement" in tournament games next March or April.
Course us Minnesota fans have been down this "goalie not living up to expectations" road many times before.
Or basically anyone from the last 3-4 years.
Basically. Yes.
