Ok, but that is still your boss dictating terms to you. Only in your example, early parole is a good thing. Getting off work early is also a good thing. Surrendering in battle is bad. Getting fired/laid off is also bad, in most people's situations. But it's good to disagree without resorting to name calling. Good on you.

I think SCSU could get some real consideration from good coaches looking for a better place to coach. With the group of players Motzko brought in, and the AD having put in place some coaches who've brought a substantial number of D-II titles in other sports over the past few years, SCSU is showing a commitment to fielding good teams.

Mentioning that guy ... would the USAFA version want the SCSU job? Would the one at BSU want the SCSU job?

I'm a little surprised but not overly. He's 57 already so I wonder how long he will continue to coach, period. The thing I wonder about now is if he starts poaching recruits from St Cloud that have already committed to playing there, assuming he would be the head coach.

There are other examples. Everyone is different obviously but I could see Motzko coaching for another ten years.
