SCSU 2010-2011 Season Thread- Frozen Four or Bust

Re: SCSU 2010-2011 Season Thread- Frozen Four or Bust

None, because they all screw themselves?

Neutral on the bye week, but we are travelling to Bermidji to hopefully lick the Beavers.

Hope to get to Friday nights game, hope to get the lovely Mrs. Vicar to accompany yours truely.

Re: SCSU 2010-2011 Season Thread- Frozen Four or Bust

Can we confirm the validity of this story, or is it just a blog? I mean I saw Hepp and Mosey riding on flying unicorns trying to get to the gold at the end of a rainbow last Sunday afternoon, I just didn't think it was relevant to anything.

The Naples Blogger is a Florida hockey writer who wouldn't have a natural axe to grind against SCSU. That said, I think the SCSU coaches probably need to address what knowledge they had or didn't have about the vans and the beer purchase. If they don't address it, the speculation takes it's place, and that snowball effect is worse than addressing it head on.

Well you should also tell dg that the implication that the person who went to the hospital went for alcohol reasons shouldn't be in there. They've stated that someone was admitted, but that they didn't go in because of alcohol. Now you can believe that or not, but that's as much as you or anybody who's talking knows about the situation.

It's never good when the coaches know about it...ever.
Can you imagine if a big time college football team pulled over the team buses and bought 50 cases of beer on a road trip. And then later that night a few players were kicked off the team and suspended. ESPN would be going nuts.

Settle down people. How do we know that the van wasn't the hotel's and the players got an employee to give them a ride to the store.? We have no idea if team officials were in the van. As for drinking, if they are of age who care's.......

I disagree. I would say nothing and all this will go away. They would be making it worse by responding to what some blogger in Naples said. All we have here is He said she said stuff and that is not worth talking about.

Keep in mind this all happened after the games had been played. I guarantee if a football team stayed a coupel days after a bowl game some the players would be drinking.... I am not sure why the team flew out on saturday when the last game was Thursday night, but it obviously was a bad choice....

Re: SCSU 2010-2011 Season Thread- Frozen Four or Bust

Right now, it's a minor story on a Florida blog, read only by a few die hard hockey fans like us. SCSU's coaches might be able to let it go and take their chances that it blows over and is forgotten. The only difference from a classic he said/she said is that the he said is a sportswriter/media member and not just some random person.

But if the St. Cloud Times decides to repeat the Florida allegations, then I think St. Cloud needs to be ready to respond to it.

Three hotel vans with three different drivers taking 23 guests on a joyride so a few of the 21 year old players could buy beer? Thats one heck of a concierge.

I don't think we need to worry about that happening.....

Maybe the kids got a reputation as good tippers in the short time in sunny Florida.
