I realize not Scotus, but how long before the the guy who attacked and killed members of the New Jersey judge is correctly identified as a terrorist? I guess since he is an old white guy it must not be terrorism.

Being that he's a Trump guy of course they won't call him that.

If we sweep we need to do a ton of sh-t. Beginning, obviously, with the end of filibusters, super majority cloture, blue slips, and Senate holds. And reinstate earmarks while we're at it.

Time to make Congress f-cking work again.

DC and PR statehood.

Re-institute the Fairness Doctrine.

And then the policy work that will take the next 2 years and for as long as the electorate keeps us in full sweep power.

No more mealy-mouthed bullsh-t. If they give us the keys we f-cking drive the train down the right's throat and don't stop until those Nazis have choked to death.

Fairness Doctrine will never be reinstated, the oil is out of the barrel and that ship has sailed. They'll argue that in the era of cable and the Internet where consumers have access to lots of different sources (no matter how nutbar those sources are), it violates 1A. It's highly unlikely that the pro-corporate Roberts court wouldn't side with Big Media on that.

I approve of the rest.

Where is the update to Election Day?

add the weekend prior and Monday to the first Tuesday in November? Four days of ballot collections.

I agree 100%. Hopefully the Democrats woke the fuck up after electing Donald J. Trump to office.

Start here.

MODERNIZE THE VOTING PROCESS
1. Enact Automatic Voter Registration
2. Expand Early Voting
3. Prevent Long Lines at the Polls

PROTECT VOTING RIGHTS
1. Restore the Voting Rights Act
2. Restore Voting Rights to Citizens With Past Criminal Convictions
3. Protect Eligible Voters From Improper Purging of the Voter Rolls
4. Protect Against Deceptive Election Practices

US Citizenship and Immigration Services department told SCOTUS to pound sand; will openly ignore their ruling.

I don't think this is necessarily true.

DACA is a program that the Department of Homeland Security created a number of years ago. When Trump took over, DHS decided to end the program that they had created. However, in typical Trump administration fashion, they had no real idea as to how to correctly do that, so they screwed it up. DHS had the legal right to end DACA, as I understand it. It's just that the law requires them to do it in a certain way, and to make decisions on it based upon something other than just an arbitrary reason.

That was the Supreme Court case, iirc. The Supremes agreed that the Trump administration didn't go about ending DACA in the correct way, so the case was sent back.

Now, presumably Trump's DHS wants to continue to try to get rid of DACA, and the question will be whether they can figure out how to do it correctly. In the meantime, they have to address pending applications under DACA, future applications under DACA as well as those people who are in the program and want to apply for an extension. I think that's what the memorandum referenced by the tweet you link to addresses.

I don't know that the Supremes said you can't get rid of DACA. Now, maybe there is some technical piece to that memorandum that somehow violates the Supreme Court order, but I assume if that's the case a court somewhere will be asked to address it.

To me the it looks more like the EC screwed up by not putting the Green Party candidate on the ballot in the first place.

Be that as it may, this close to the election you can't go changing shiat up. Ballots have been printed, some have likely already been mailed, and federal law requires they go out to overseas military personnel in a week or so.

For all the reasons the Federal courts turn down cases this late in the election cycle to not sow confusion, the state court should similarly not get involved now.
