Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Mercyhurst up 4-1 over Robert Morris with 8 min. to go in 2nd period.

I'm not there but I called someone who is. I will post again if he calls back.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

WOOT WOOT! Go Friars! :D

What's even more amazing is that this is the first regular season loss for the Wildcats at home, ever... (from the UNH website)

HOME ICE ADVANTAGE
UNH is 65-0-10 in home league regular-season games since the inception of Hockey East in the 2003 season.

Scores and Highlights 09-10

Reportedly the band played, "The World Turned Upside Down" at the surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown in 1781.

So...Yale nearly upset Cornell Friday night at Lynah despite being outshot 40/16 including 16/1 in the third and 5/1 in O T . Jue barely evened the score for Cornell with her tieing goal coming with less then thirteen seconds left. So... then Snikeris shuts out Colgate 3/0 today. Her team mates, not to be outdone, are outshot 43/13 including 16/5 in the third...

One woman team?
Im-pressive!

WOW that must have been something to see. I remember seeing her play as a polar bear and she was good then too.

Who should be ECAC DPOTW? Snikeris or Kessler? Tough choice. Kessler had 24 and 29 save shutouts of Minnesota, who was the No. 2 scoring team in the country entering the weekend.

I'd go with Kessler. Minnesota hasn't had more than two shutouts in a SEASON since 2001, and hasn't suffered back-to-back shutouts in the era covered by USCHO stats (starting Fall 1998).

Kessler's shutouts were historic. 80-save weekends against opponents who are 10th-20th in the nation in scoring (like Colgate/Cornell) is something that happens at least a few times every college season.

Now you could then argue to what extent the stats were about the goalies vs. the team, but no one making this decision is going to have that information either. I stand by my assessment.

Sunday 12/6 UMD 1, WI 0 at the end of one. Blais scores in a 4 on 4.
Also, is her 100th point as a Bulldog.

Now at the end of 2 it's WI 2 UMD 1. UMD will start the 3rd with 1:23 left on a PP. I don't recall who scored for the Badgers, but one of the goals was on the PP.
