I could be wrong, but I don't believe Remy was at the game last night.
CardsRuleTheBurgh, Loudhorns, Bill-R, CardinalSin, norm1909, Timtheflagman, birds, and spwood were probably all there though.

Correct, won't be back to the Burgh till the Williams game then Oswego....I was "scoreboard" watching....err listening.
Going only by the stats, I would say they did quite well for not having played for some time. Will be nice to see them again Tuesday night.

Fredonia just ended Hobart's big winning streak too so that will be a nice win to get.
Hopefully the guys aren't too drained from yesterday's effort and long bus ride.
Lot of hockey left to be played and with the amount of losses a lot of the traditional contenders have piled up, all hope is not lost yet in purple country.
Plattsburgh and Elmira have now tied their last two meetings. Will there ever be another regular season matchup?
Next year the Soaring Eagles will be in the Primelink Tournament at Middlebury and the possibility exists for a potential meeting there. However, there will be no return trip by Plattsburgh to the Domes next season and in the distant future from what I've heard and seen. The regular season series between the two schools for all intent and purposes is over for the time being.
If they schedule the tournament the way they have in the past. Elmira will play Middlebury in the late game on the first day of action and Plattsburgh/Norwich will square off in the early game.
Elmira's schedule so far next year...
12 ECAC West games
2 PrimeLink

Only if the SUNYAC and ECAC/W formalize their now very informal scheduling arrangement and create an interlock. (or merge into a single conference)

Hard to say. As far as I'm concerned, they are probably one of the top 5 teams in the country.

Elmira is a very good team, the problem WAS goaltending in the begining and it seems they have overcome that.

Maybe they'll play their best hockey in the second half of the season for the first time since 2006.

Sounds framiliar. I've seen Elmira 3 times this year, and after every game I've always said great offense, sketchy goaltending. If they could get that part of their game together they would be very dangerous, could it have happened?

From the limited games I've seen Elmira play or watched on a webcast and by reading other people's comments...McDonald was the answer all along and just hit a rough patch forcing the tandem for a little while until he got going again.

Two scores to report from Sunday:
Plymouth State tied Wentworth 2-2
and Manhattanville beat Morrisville 6-3.
Manhattanville should be #3 in the poll tomorrow.
Interesting note, Manhattanville played both games this weekend without leading scorer Mickey Lang. Lang was not on the ice for the awards ceremony at the Northfield Savings Bank Tournament last weekend. I dont recall seeing Lang leave the ice with an injury but if he is hurt, that's a tough blow to the Valiants if he is out for an extended period of time.
That kid is an absolute sniper.

Had McDonald been kept in the game at Hobart, Elmira wins that game. From the 5 or so games I've seen of him, it looks like he gets disinterested at times. He's pretty good technically; keeps square to the shooter, sees the puck through traffic well, cuts down the angle. His side to side movement and puck awareness is what seems to get him in trouble the most. He fails to hug the post quick enough or put out the pad on lower shots. If he plays up to his ability, Elmira will be an extremely difficult team beat.
